Established in 2019, YAN Cure Yoga Retreat & Ayurveda Centre is a treatment-first Ayurveda and Naturopathy healing centre located in a quiet, village-like neighbourhood on the outskirts of Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, close to the sacred River Ganga. Rather than positioning itself as a hospitality-led resort, YAN Cure is built around a single, focused purpose: helping guests restore their health through authentic, personalised healing practices. The centre offers structured wellness retreats built around Ayurveda, Panchakarma detoxification and Naturopathy, with every element of the guest journey designed around physical, mental and emotional recovery rather than leisure.
Property Design and Natural Setting
YAN Cure is a compact, single-building property set in a peaceful neighbourhood away from the traffic and congestion of central Rishikesh. The surroundings feel more like a quiet village than a tourist district, with the River Ganga and open countryside close by. Guests should expect an intentionally simple environment rather than large resort-style grounds or extensive landscaped facilities – the focus here is on treatment infrastructure, not leisure architecture.
Wellness Philosophy
The centre is recognised and registered under the AYUSH Department, Government of Uttarakhand, reflecting its commitment to authentic, evidence-based traditional therapies. Every wellness journey begins with an in-depth consultation, where practitioners assess each guest through pulse diagnosis, Prakriti analysis, lifestyle assessment and nutritional evaluation. Rather than offering standardised packages, treatment plans are personalised to each guest's body constitution, health condition and long-term wellness goals, with the philosophy centred on addressing the root cause of illness rather than simply managing symptoms.
Accommodation
Accommodation at YAN Cure is simple and functional, designed to support the wellness journey rather than to deliver a luxury hotel experience. Guests should not expect five-star interiors or extensive resort amenities – the emphasis throughout is on treatment outcomes and personal care rather than hospitality-led comfort.
Diet and Dining
Dining at YAN Cure is treated as part of the treatment process rather than a separate hospitality offering. Meals are vegetarian, seasonal and prepared to sattvic principles – simple, nourishing and easy to digest – using wholesome grains, lentils, vegetables, fruits and herbal beverages that support the body's natural healing mechanisms. Depending on a guest's treatment goals, dietary recommendations are personalised, with specific meal modifications for guests undergoing Panchakarma, detoxification, stress management or weight management programs. Non-vegetarian food, alcohol and outside food are not permitted during the stay.
Wellness Activities
The Ayurveda Center is the heart of the property, combining Ayurveda, Panchakarma therapies and Naturopathy with complementary practices including Yoga, Meditation, Acupressure, Cupping Therapy, Yagya and Mantra Therapy, and Colon Cleansing programs. Guests may also take part in daily yoga sessions, meditation practices, breathing exercises and mantra chanting as part of a structured, doctor-supervised treatment journey that evolves throughout their stay.
Sustainability & Guest Guidelines
Guests are expected to follow the structured daily schedule of yoga, therapies and meals for optimal results, and to maintain discipline and respect for the retreat environment. Alcohol, smoking and non-vegetarian food are strictly prohibited, and outside food is not permitted during the program. A complete medical history disclosure is required prior to the start of treatment, as certain therapies may be restricted for specific medical conditions.
Dining at YAN Cure is viewed as an extension of the treatment process rather than a separate hospitality offering. Following the Ayurvedic belief that food is one of the most powerful forms of medicine, meals are designed to support ongoing therapies and help guests build healthier relationships with food.
The culinary philosophy is rooted in sattvic principles – simplicity, nourishment and digestibility. Guests are served fresh vegetarian meals prepared using seasonal ingredients, wholesome grains, lentils, vegetables, fruits and herbal beverages that are gentle on the digestive system and supportive of the body's natural healing mechanisms.
Depending on a guest's treatment goals, dietary recommendations may be personalised. Guests undergoing Panchakarma, detoxification, stress management or weight management programs may receive specific meal modifications designed to support digestion, metabolism and internal balance.
Dining at YAN Cure is intentionally uncomplicated and free of buffet-style spreads, with the emphasis placed on eating mindfully and consuming foods that nourish the body without creating heaviness or digestive strain. Non-vegetarian food, alcohol and outside food are not permitted on the property.
Over time, many guests come to understand that food is not simply a source of energy but an important therapeutic tool that contributes significantly to overall health and wellbeing.
Leisure at YAN Cure is intentionally minimalistic and centred around stillness, reflection and inner balance. Rather than offering entertainment-oriented activities or resort-style facilities, the property encourages guests to reconnect with themselves through nature, movement and mindful practices.
Its location away from central Rishikesh creates a naturally peaceful environment where guests can enjoy quiet walks, spend time near the River Ganga and experience the slower pace of village life.
Throughout the day, guests may participate in yoga sessions, meditation practices, breathing exercises, mantra chanting and moments of silent reflection. Many guests find that these simple routines gradually become one of the most transformative aspects of their stay.
The surrounding environment further enhances this experience – fresh Himalayan air, open skies and the soothing energy of the nearby Ganga contribute to an atmosphere that naturally supports relaxation and emotional wellbeing.
Leisure experiences and sightseeing activities are available at an additional charge.
The Ayurveda and Naturopathy Center at YAN Cure serves as the heart of the property and reflects its strong commitment to authentic, integrated healing practices. The centre combines traditional Ayurvedic wisdom with Naturopathy and complementary alternative therapies to provide a comprehensive, personalised approach to wellness.
Guests have access to a broad range of treatments including Ayurveda consultations, Panchakarma therapies, Naturopathy, Yoga, Meditation, Acupressure, Cupping Therapy, Massage Therapy, Yagya and Mantra Therapy, and Colon Cleansing programs.
Treatments are carefully selected according to each individual's condition and may be adjusted throughout the stay as the body responds to therapy. Practitioners place significant emphasis on identifying imbalances and restoring harmony rather than pursuing quick symptomatic relief.
The centre is especially suited for guests dealing with chronic pain, digestive disorders, lifestyle disorders, poor sleep, stress-related conditions, fatigue and weight management challenges.
By combining Ayurveda and Naturopathy with Yoga and Meditation, the centre allows guests to experience multiple modalities of healing working together to create a more complete wellness journey.
The Women's Health and Hormonal Wellness Program at YAN Cure, Rishikesh is a comprehensive Ayurveda and Yoga programme designed for guests with menstrual disorders, menopausal symptoms and general hormonal wellness concerns. Following a detailed consultation, including pulse diagnosis, navel diagnosis and a hormonal and menstrual-history assessment, experienced Ayurvedic doctors develop an individualized treatment plan based on the guest's constitution, focusing on hormonal balance, stress reduction and overall wellbeing. Depending on clinical assessment, therapies may include Abhyanga, Shirodhara, herbal Potli therapy and Marma therapy, along with Panchakarma when medically indicated, supported by daily therapeutic yoga and Pranayama.
Note: All therapies are selected and administered under medical supervision based on individual assessment, condition and physician recommendation, and may vary according to the guest's health status.
