Indimasi Healing Village / 28 Nights Varicose Veins Treatment Program

Indimasi Healing Village / 28 Nights Varicose Veins Treatment Program
Premium Hospital in a Resort Setting | Healing & Wellness Property
India / Kerala / Trivandrum - Country side | Hills

Indimasi Healing Village is an Ayurveda and Siddha healing centre in Poovathoor, Nedumangad, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India, developed as a nature-integrated wellness environment combining traditional healthcare, residential living, food, movement, culture and community. The property was constructed on a 15-acre site from 2015 and became operational in 2019. Its stated therapeutic framework brings together Ayurveda, Siddha, Yoga, Kalaripayattu and Marma-based care, supported by personalised medical planning and an organic farm-and-dairy ecosystem. The centre receives guests from international markets and states that it has welcomed more than 1,600 guests from over 50 countries. Its current property materials describe it as NABH-certified and position it as a healing village rather than a conventional spa or leisure resort. The campus incorporates residential accommodation, treatment facilities, an organic farm, Ayurvedic-aligned dining, movement and fitness spaces, cultural facilities and natural surroundings intended to support longer residential wellness stays.

Property Design and Landscape

The physical concept of Indimasi is based on the traditional Indian Gramam, understood as a self-sustaining village in which food production, healthcare, residence, physical discipline, culture and community coexist within one ecosystem. The 15-acre campus was designed around this model while incorporating contemporary residential and healthcare requirements. The property is surrounded by lush greenery, rubber plantations, organic agricultural areas and valley views, with the built environment intended to encourage quiet, natural rhythms and reduced exposure to urban distractions. Its landscape and facilities include agricultural land, dairy operations, a healing centre, residential spaces, a traditional Kalari, a cultural theatre, a water body and recreational areas. Accommodation is presented as part of the wider “Earthly Living” concept, using natural materials and maintaining visual and physical connections with the surrounding farm, plantation and valley landscape. The campus therefore functions as an integrated living environment rather than a collection of independent resort facilities.

Founders and Ayurvedic Heritage

Indimasi was founded and developed under the guidance of Guru Yogi Shivan, born Shivadasan in Vakkom, Kerala, in 1966. His formal Kalaripayattu training began at the age of nine, followed by karate, boxing and classical dance training; he later became a State Boxing Champion in 1985 and founded Caravan’s Arts and Martial Arts Academy in 1987. He moved to Oman in 1989 as a martial arts and Yoga instructor and became established as a Yoga instructor and Marma healer. In 1994 he returned to India, received initiation from his Guru Shivajyothi Dharmananda and undertook several years of meditation, tapas and yogic practice. He founded Muscat Ayurveda & Yoga in 2000 and established Swasthy Ayurveda in Thiruvananthapuram in 2010. The land for Indimasi was acquired at Poovathoor in 2005, construction of the healing village began in 2015 and the centre opened in 2019. Its development reflects his concept of combining traditional Indian healing, movement, spiritual practice, agriculture and community living.

Ayurveda Philosophy and Approach

Indimasi presents health as a state of balance involving body, mind and spirit and places emphasis on understanding underlying imbalance rather than addressing symptoms in isolation. Its integrated model combines Ayurveda and Siddha with Yoga, Kalaripayattu, Marma-based practices, therapeutic nutrition, lifestyle guidance and contemplative practices. The centre describes food as a foundational component of care, with an organic and sattvic dietary approach intended to support digestion, vitality and doshic balance. Its five stated pillars of healing include Anna Balam or strength from food, Asana Balam or strength from movement, Prana Balam or strength from breath, Mano Balam or strength from mind, and Oushadha Balam or strength from medicine. The wider philosophy also emphasises nature-integrated living, mindful daily routines, self-awareness and the development of physical, mental and emotional resilience. Ayurveda and Siddha are therefore presented not as isolated treatment systems but as components of a broader, personalised model of health and traditional knowledge.

Personalised Treatment Planning

Personalised clinical planning is a central feature of the Indimasi care model. The process begins with an assessment of the guest’s health condition, medical history, physical state, lifestyle, daily routine, emotional wellbeing and health or wellness goals. Depending on the programme and individual circumstances, information may be reviewed before arrival, followed by consultation and clinical assessment at the centre. Ayurvedic and Siddha physicians use their respective traditional diagnostic frameworks alongside the individual’s presenting condition to establish an appropriate care plan. Treatment is not presented as a fixed package applied uniformly to every guest; the centre states that plans are adjusted according to individual response and progress. Dietary recommendations, treatment intensity, supportive practices and daily routines can therefore be modified during the stay. The centre also describes preparation for discharge through progress review, diet and lifestyle guidance, home-care recommendations and follow-up support, extending the personalised approach beyond the residential period.

More about Indimasi Healing Village

Dining at Indimasi is centred on a farm-to-table organic restaurant within the healing village. The property describes its meals as 100% organic, using seasonal and clean ingredients, with produce drawn from its own agricultural ecosystem and other trusted sources where required. Fresh dairy from the in-house farm forms part of this integrated food system. Food preparation follows a sattvic approach, with emphasis on meals that are compatible with the guest’s treatment and wellness objectives and supportive of appropriate digestion.

The property’s organic farm follows chemical-free cultivation, avoiding synthetic fertilisers, pesticides and GMO seeds. Traditional methods using natural compost and cow dung are employed, while cattle manure is recycled as agricultural fertiliser. Dietary planning is connected with Indimasi’s broader Ayurvedic philosophy of food as an important component of health and healing. Depending on the individual program and clinical assessment, meals can be aligned with the guest’s body constitution, health condition and treatment requirements, making dining an integral part of the residential wellness experience rather than simply a hospitality service.

Indimasi Healing Village offers a serene environment enriched with a range of facilities designed to nurture body, mind, and spirit. An organic vegetable farm, a dairy, a refreshing swimming pool, and a Kalari (school of Indian martial arts) form the core of leisure experiences, encouraging guests to engage with nature and traditional practices. These facilities highlight Indimasi’s commitment to sustainable living and holistic wellness.

Strategically located in the hillocks near the Ponmudi hills, away from the coastal region, the setting has been deliberately chosen for its healing benefits. The avoidance of salty seaside air ensures an atmosphere that supports treatments for serious ailments, enhancing recovery and overall well-being.

Indimasi Healing Village creates a haven where organic farming, dairy practices, and martial arts converge, offering guests a holistic sanctuary that perfectly blends leisure with wellness.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being, not merely the absence of disease. Ayurveda expressed the same wisdom centuries ago, defining health as the harmony of the three Doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha) alongside a contented mind, senses, and spirit. Indimasi follows the philosophy that the right combination of food, exercise, medication, and meditation leads to total well-being and helps individuals explore their inner potential.

The Centre for Yogic Living at Indimasi is rooted in the tradition of ?r? Vidy? Yoga, where Yoga and Pranayama are combined with the right diet, Ayurvedic and Siddha therapies to address lifestyle diseases such as arthritis, obesity, diabetes, hypertension, heart conditions, stroke, depression, and even cancer. The centre also conducts seminars, workshops, and wellness programs, while promoting organic produce and yogic living.

Indimasi also preserves the ancient martial art of Kalaripayattu (Kalari), regarded as the mother of all martial arts. Practised for centuries in Kerala, Kalari encompasses weapons training, unarmed combat, steps (Chuvadu), and postures (Vadivu). Beyond being a martial art, Kalari nurtures discipline, vitality, and holistic strength, reflecting India’s rich cultural heritage.

The Siddha System of Medicine, one of the oldest healing traditions, also finds a place at Indimasi. With its origins in South India, the Siddha tradition explores the healing potential of plants, minerals, metals, and yogic practices. Guided by Yogi Shivan, Indimasi integrates Ayurveda, Yoga, and Siddha Medicine, creating a comprehensive system where no disease is considered beyond control.

In addition, Indimasi embraces Naturopathy, a drugless system of healing that recognises the body’s innate power to expel toxins and restore balance. Rooted in India’s ancient wisdom, Naturopathy reinforces the commitment to natural living and holistic health.

28 Nights Varicose Veins Treatment Program
  • Description

The 28 Nights Varicose Veins Treatment Program at Indimasi Healing Village provides an Ayurvedic care approach for individuals seeking support for varicose veins and associated lower-limb circulatory concerns.Varicose veins in both legs alongside circulatory imbalance, leg heaviness and diabetic neuropathy, with the Ayurvedic approach addressing circulation, metabolic balance, digestion and aggravated Vata as interconnected factors rather than considering the visible veins in isolation. The Program approach also places importance on identifying wider health factors that may influence circulation and overall wellbeing.

Therapeutic objectives include supporting healthy lower-limb circulation, reducing sensations of heaviness and muscular fatigue, improving overall physical comfort, and encouraging better metabolic and digestive balance. The program also associates dietary correction and lifestyle modification with longer-term health management, although individual outcomes vary and the case should not be interpreted as a guaranteed result. Program can provide a structured setting for personalised Ayurvedic care, with its clinical suitability determined according to the individual's condition. Following comprehensive consultation and assessment, the Ayurvedic physician establishes the care plan by considering Prakriti, Vikriti, the severity and characteristics of the circulatory condition, age, physical strength and therapeutic goals, allowing recommendations to be matched to the guest's individual requirements.

    Note:

All treatments and program components are personalised following the initial consultation with the retreat's Ayurveda doctor and the guest's health condition. Therapy protocols may vary accordingly.

I fell in love with Indimasi Village and the peace of mind it was able to give me. My sister and I stayed there for 14 days, and we benefited immensely from all treatments and activities. Everything was perfect- friendly and helpful staff, attentive and caring doctors, competent and understanding kalari and yoga teachers - Vinoj, Vishnu, and Roopa, and wonderful therapists who delivered their best every day with their treatments. The whole experience of being surrounded by the beautuful nature, being able to strengthen my body through kalari and yoga, eating wholesome meals, and receiving ayurveda treatment has reset my batteries, allowed me to refocus and reprioritize what's important in my life. It's a must-visit place, and I wish it and its founder Guru Yogi Shivan prosperity and success. Thank you so much once again for the uplifting and inspiring experience.
