An ayurvedic hideaway far away from the stress of everyday life. I was impressed by the attention to detail and the loving and attentive care. Thanks to the holistic approach, my health complaints quickly improved and I was able to recover within a very short time.
What I find very important is to keep in mind that Sri Lanka has plenty of public holidays, f.e. full moon days, known as Poya days. On these days you will find big celebrations (mainly by night) in every town or village (there are temples everywhere and just around the corner) which means that -maybe- you couldn't sleep a wink.
A little tip from me: if the festivities are too loud don't get angry because you cannot change it. Instead of being unable to sleep, I recommend getting up and watching them from close up. The religious diversity of the country is really very, very impressive.
Amazing experience start to finish. Such a special place made even more by the kind and welcoming staff.
The Ayurvedic treatments were just perfect I left feeling so revived and well.

My 9-day Ayurveda retreat stay at the Suvarivi resort in Sri Lanka was absolutely rejuvenating. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for the entire experience. The retreat was a perfect mix of relaxation and self-discovery.
The accommodations at Suvarivi were comfortable and thoughtfully designed.
The Ayurvedic treatments offered at the resort were truly fantastic. From personalized consultations with experienced practitioners to relaxing massages and therapeutic yoga sessions, every aspect of the retreat was a spectacle.
The food at Suvarivi was my personal highlight, each meal was prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients, mostly home grown and infused with Ayurvedic principles to support overall well-being.
Overall, my stay at Suvarivi was nothing short of amazing. It provided the perfect opportunity to disconnect from the stresses of daily life and reconnect with myself on a deeper level. I returned home feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and ready to take on the world. I would highly recommend Suvarivi to anyone looking for a truly immersive Ayurveda retreat experience.
A real gem...I had an incredibly relaxing 15 days in this beautiful and tranquil boutique hotel, surrounded by nature and just a short tuk tuk ride from the beach in Weligama. The perfect place for a Panchakarma treatment with an incredibly warm and professional team that responds to every request, no matter how small. The morning yoga sessions on the roof terrace were a real highlight and a wonderful start to the day. Great, spacious rooms with a dream view of nature, super varied food, lovingly prepared and served. A huge thank you to the Suvarivi team!
We had an incredible time at Suvarivi Ayurveda Resort! From the moment we arrived, we felt pampered and welcomed. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, well fed, and happy throughout our entire stay. Every day we were greeted with the best smiles and wonderful energy from everyone. The food was delicious and filling. We had something different every day and were even given yummy desserts. The location was perfect because it was away from the center, yet surrounded by nature and close enough where we could take a tuk tuk and be at the beach in 5 minutes. The property also had a great pool and plenty of
I would like to share my experience at Suvarivi here. I rarely write a review, but since I was so overwhelmed by my time there I wanted to share my experience with others.
When I booked my stay there, I was going through a difficult phase in my life and was looking for healing (physical and mental), peace and self-discovery. After 2 weeks I was literally like a new person. An unprecedented level of mental clarity, physical vitality and energy - a great transformation and money really well spent.
The resort: The atmosphere is magical - on a hill in the middle of the jungle, lush nature and singing birds, a huge garden and a pool overlooking the jungle. There are only a few rooms, so everything is very familiar. The rooms are very spacious and each has a four-poster bed and its own balcony. For yoga and meditation there is a roof terrace from which you can see the sunrise and sunset.
What did my days look like? The morning was full of treatments and in the afternoon I had time to myself, which I used to read. I often went to the beach (5 minutes) or to temples in the area.
A few details about the treatment that I would like to share
If you are looking for absolute relaxation, time and peace for your body and mind, Suvarivi is exactly where paradise on earth is. A small boutique hotel where the guest is the focus 24/7. With only 10 rooms, it is never really
Great Ayurveda hotel in a fantastically beautiful green location. A small oasis with very friendly staff, competent support and wonderful food. You feel in good hands all around :-)
The Suvarivi is a wonderful boutique hotel for anyone who wants to really relax away from the hustle and bustle.
The employees are super friendly and very professional; the food tastes excellent!
The highlight for me was the 20 m long infinity pool with a view of the ocean.
I became aware of Suvarivi because I wanted to experience a Panchakarma treatment for the first time.
I can highly recommend the hotel, especially for this type of vacation.
The Ayurveda doctor is very competent, responds to all questions and needs and is always available. I felt very well looked after at all times.
A big thank you also goes to the manager Nilanga, who does everything to ensure that the guests have a great stay!
The hotel complex is beautifully situated on a hill in the most natural, plant-rich surroundings. All guests interested in Ayurveda feel completely at home here! The Ayurvedic food is excellent and prepared almost entirely from our own garden. The Ayurvedic treatments and massages are carried out under extremely professional medical care.
My expectations were more than met, regardless of whether I enjoyed the fantastic view of the Indian Ocean from my room, swam in the refreshing infinity pool in the morning or walked (approx. 15 minutes; only 5 minutes by tuk tuk). Visited the beach to watch fishing boats and surfers having sundowners.
My personal tip: book! Enjoy! Recover!
