Dr. Aiswarya Padmanabhan, MD (ay), holds a master's degree in Kayachikitsa and is a general medicine practitioner with over 12 years of experience and extensive experience in treating different types of skin disorders, women’s health, and neuromuscular disorders. She is the chief physician at Vajra Ayurveda and Yoga Retreat, Kochi. She holds a postgraduate degree in Psychology and Counseling, has four years of experience in counselling, and is well versed in treating different psychosomatic disorders. Mr R. Sivadas is a Yoga Therapist, he did his M.Sc in Yoga and he has more than 15 years of experience in the field of yoga. He is a certified Yoga Trainer. He holds an Advanced Yoga Teacher Training Certificate . He has also completed his PG Diploma in Guidance and Counselling. He has got wide range of experience in various firms. He has got appreciation certificate from the Palakkad District Police Chief for taking counselling training for the Civil Police Officers.

Vajra is a wonderful place close to Cochin. It has an amazing swimming pool and outstanding service and treatments they offer. I really liked this place, however it’s a little far from everything so it’s hard to get food options close by. Additionally their restaurant food was good but in my opinion adapted to western taste so it isn’t as spicy as in other places and only vegetarian options. Aside from that I’d totally recommend this place for a relaxing weekend

I really enjoyed my experience here. I booked the Yoga package and was very lucky with my yoga teacher. Unfortunately, it’s not that close to the city center but you can easily take the bus or ask for a taxi. The staff here is always happy to help.

I am so happy to have found Vajra for this two week recuperative stay. All of the staff have been professional, caring and friendly. Ayurveda is traditional healthcare, way ahead of its time in that it is completely holistic. Mind, body and soul are catered to here with twice daily yoga classes and incredible meals served up three times a day in the lovely dining room. The daily in-house medicines and treatments are administered by qualified therapists and based on the doctor's daily consultations. The quiet and private rooms are maintained to a very high standard as are the gardens and grounds. I would like to thank everyone at Vajra for the warm welcome which has continued throughout our stay. Natalie More

The staff are very nice and eager make the stay memorable. Yoga and meditation sessions were perfect, educational and helpful. The female massage girls were 100% the male massage staff were very good. Breakfast, lunch and evening meals were excellent. Dining area is beautiful, facilities beautiful. Down the lane there is a river which is used by elephants.
