Softouch Ayurveda Village

Softouch Ayurveda Village
Premium Hospital in a Resort Setting | Healing & Wellness Property
India / Kerala / Kochi - Country side | River

Softouch Ayurveda Village is a NABH-accredited Ayurveda hospital and boutique wellness retreat situated on an 18-acre riverfront estate along the Chalakudy River in Chalakudy, Thrissur District, Kerala, approximately 23 km (around 50 minutes) from Cochin International Airport. The Softouch brand was established in 1992, while the present Ayurveda Village commenced operations in June 2023 and achieved NABH accreditation in September 2025, demonstrating compliance with nationally recognised healthcare quality and patient safety standards. The property combines a medically supervised Ayurveda hospital with a small luxury retreat, maintaining only 12 accommodation units to enable personalised care. Every treatment is prescribed and monitored by qualified Ayurvedic physicians rather than selected from a spa-style menu. The retreat specialises in doctor-led Panchakarma, personalised therapeutic programmes, Ayurvedic rejuvenation, preventive healthcare and condition-based treatments, integrating accommodation, consultations, therapies, Ayurvedic medicines during the stay, Dosha-specific vegetarian cuisine, Yoga, meditation and wellness activities into comprehensive all-inclusive packages.

Property Design and Landscape

The retreat occupies an expansive 18-acre riverside estate characterised by tropical vegetation, landscaped gardens, forested walking paths and direct frontage along the Chalakudy River, creating a secluded environment intended to support restorative healthcare. Traditional Kerala architectural elements have been combined with modern hospitality standards throughout the property, incorporating suites, villas and cottages positioned to maximise privacy while maintaining convenient access to the Ayurveda hospital, dining facilities and common areas. The estate includes paved walking trails extending beyond 1.5 kilometres, organic cultivation areas, riverfront spaces, swimming pools, a private home theatre, library, cycling routes, kayaking facilities, seasonal fruit harvesting areas and dedicated Yoga and meditation spaces. The intentionally limited accommodation capacity reinforces the property's emphasis on personalised medical supervision rather than high-volume wellness tourism.

Founders and Ayurvedic Heritage

The Softouch brand was founded in 1992 by Davis Karadan, initially operating from ITDC Kovalam with the objective of introducing luxury Ayurvedic healthcare to international travellers. Prior to establishing Softouch, Davis Karadan developed Kerala's first high-technology gym at the Regional Sports Centre, inaugurated by Padma Shri Kamal Haasan. During the 2000s, Softouch expanded internationally after former Kempinski CEO Reto Wittwer recognised the potential of integrating authentic Ayurveda within luxury hospitality. The organisation subsequently established and operated up to 25 Ayurveda centres across the United Arab Emirates, Malta, Djibouti, Greece, Spain and Andorra, collaborating with hospitality brands including Kempinski, Grecotel, Le Méridien, Damac, Sport Hotel Hermitage and Ramada. In June 2023, the organisation returned to Kerala by establishing Softouch Ayurveda Village as a boutique, doctor-led treatment destination focused on highly personalised care. In 2025, the property received both NABH accreditation and the CII Kerala Health & Medical Tourism Award, while also being selected among Outlook Traveller's "30 Serene Wellness Retreats in India

Ayurveda Philosophy and Approach

Softouch Ayurveda Village follows a medical rather than spa-oriented approach, with every guest undergoing physician consultation before treatment planning. Clinical decisions are based upon assessment of Prakruti, Vikruti, Dosha balance, Dhatu status, Agni, Ojas, Sattva, lifestyle, dietary habits, sleep quality and medical history. Rather than offering fixed treatment menus, physicians prescribe individual combinations of therapies according to each guest's constitution and health objectives. Panchakarma represents the property's principal clinical speciality, with intensive detoxification programmes generally requiring a minimum 14-night stay. Preparatory procedures, principal cleansing therapies and post-treatment rejuvenation are prescribed according to classical Ayurvedic principles. The medical philosophy focuses on identifying underlying causes of disease instead of symptom management, integrating herbal medicines, therapeutic procedures, Ayurvedic nutrition, Yoga, meditation and lifestyle modification to restore physiological balance and support long-term wellbeing. Complimentary pre-arrival consultations are available for guests considering Panchakarma programmes.

Personalised Treatment Planning

Every wellness journey at Softouch Ayurveda Village begins with a comprehensive consultation conducted by a qualified Ayurveda physician. The evaluation includes assessment of the guest's Prakruti (constitutional type), Vikruti (current imbalance), Dosha status, Dhatu condition, Agni (digestive fire), Ojas (vitality), Sattva (mental wellbeing), sleep patterns, dietary habits, lifestyle, medical history, presenting symptoms and treatment objectives. Guests considering Panchakarma are encouraged to complete a complimentary online consultation before arrival and submit relevant medical reports to assist physicians in preparing an individualised treatment strategy. Based on these findings, doctors prescribe the duration of stay, internal medicines, external therapies, Panchakarma procedures where appropriate, dietary modifications, Yoga practices and meditation sessions. Treatment plans remain dynamic throughout the stay, with daily doctor consultations allowing therapies, medicines and dietary recommendations to be modified according to clinical progress rather than following a predetermined schedule. Intensive Panchakarma procedures require medical approval and are undertaken only when clinically appropriate.

Treatment Programs

Softouch Ayurveda Village offers an extensive portfolio of doctor-led, condition-based Ayurvedic treatment programmes, with accommodation, consultations, therapies, prescribed medicines during the stay, vegetarian therapeutic meals, Yoga and meditation incorporated into comprehensive all-inclusive packages. Programme pricing depends only on room category and duration, while treatment selection is determined medically rather than commercially. The programme portfolio includes Panchakarma, Ayurveda Rejuvenation, Detoxification & Purification, Weight Management, Spinal & Joint Care, Stress & Burnout Management, Pre-conception & Fertility Care, Computer Strain & Repetitive Strain Injury Management, Immunity & Body Rejuvenation, and Healthy Ageing (Youth Restoration). Panchakarma programmes include classical procedures such as Vamana, Virechana, Basti, Nasya and Raktamokshana, supported by preparatory oleation and sudation therapies followed by rejuvenation. Programme durations generally range from 7 to 28 nights, with intensive Panchakarma therapies requiring a minimum 14-night stay. Every programme integrates Ayurvedic medicines, therapeutic procedures, Yoga, meditation, Dosha-specific nutrition and regular physician monitoring throughout treatment.

Doctors and Wellness Experts (Property Overview Only)

Medical care is delivered through a multidisciplinary team comprising resident physicians, consultant specialists, Yoga professionals, nursing staff and experienced Panchakarma therapists. Dr Henry Prasad, Chief Physician and Senior Consultant, has practised since 2006, holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Acupuncture, and specialises in rheumatoid disorders, skin diseases and varicose vein management, supported by more than 15 years of international experience with Softouch across multiple countries. Dr Jugunu Raj (MD Panchakarma) specialises in musculoskeletal, digestive, skin and lifestyle disorders through classical Panchakarma therapies. Dr Anjana L. R (MS Prasuti Tantra & Streeroga) provides specialised Ayurvedic gynaecology, fertility, hormonal and pregnancy-related care. Dr Anjana Sathyan (BAMS) serves as Resident Ayurveda Doctor, overseeing daily patient care and contributing significantly to the property's NABH accreditation. The wellness team also includes Yogacharya Sanjay Anand R, a certified therapeutic Yoga instructor with 29 years of experience, Ayurveda Medical Nurse Achu S, and senior Panchakarma therapists possessing more than ten years of clinical experience in classical Kerala Ayurvedic treatments.

Post Treatment Care

Medical supervision continues until the conclusion of each treatment programme through a final physician consultation evaluating therapeutic progress, treatment response and future health management. Doctors provide personalised lifestyle guidance, dietary recommendations and ongoing wellness advice to support long-term maintenance of treatment outcomes after returning home. Where clinically appropriate, guests may purchase individually prescribed discharge medicines for continued treatment at an additional cost. Daily clinical monitoring throughout the stay allows therapies and medicines to be adjusted according to progress before final recommendations are issued. Softouch also supports continuity of care through pre-arrival consultations for future visits and, where necessary, physician guidance regarding subsequent treatment planning. The property encourages sustained lifestyle modifications encompassing nutrition, Yoga, meditation and healthy daily routines as part of long-term preventive healthcare beyond the residential programme.

Accommodation (Property Overview)

Softouch Ayurveda Village deliberately maintains a small-capacity accommodation model comprising only 12 units, reinforcing its emphasis on personalised medical care rather than large-scale wellness tourism. The accommodation portfolio includes Suites, Villas and Cottages, designed in traditional Kerala architectural style while incorporating modern comforts. Buildings are distributed across the 18-acre estate to maximise tranquillity, privacy and connection with the surrounding riverfront and landscaped environment. Several accommodation categories are positioned close to the Ayurveda hospital, allowing convenient access for guests undergoing daily treatments, while others are located within quieter garden and forest settings for greater seclusion. Every stay follows an all-inclusive concept, incorporating accommodation, twice-daily prescribed Ayurvedic therapies, daily physician consultations, Ayurvedic medicines during the stay, full-board Dosha-specific vegetarian dining, Yoga, meditation, airport transfers and access to recreational facilities. Individual room descriptions, layouts, dimensions and amenities are documented separately and are therefore excluded from this property-level reference document.

Diet and Dining

Nutrition forms an integral component of every treatment programme and is prescribed as part of the overall therapeutic plan rather than offered as conventional resort dining. Guests receive full-board vegetarian meals prepared according to individual Dosha balance, treatment stage and physician recommendations. Dietary planning considers food quality, origin, preparation methods, quantity, food combinations and meal timing to maximise therapeutic benefit throughout treatment. Physicians may modify dietary recommendations as treatments progress, ensuring meals remain aligned with changing clinical requirements. Freshly prepared home-style Ayurvedic cuisine is emphasised, while organic ingredients produced within the property's gardens contribute to the farm-to-table dining experience where available. Outside food and alcohol are prohibited to preserve treatment efficacy, and the retreat maintains a completely smoke-free and alcohol-free environment. Cooking demonstrations featuring authentic Kerala recipes are organised periodically as part of the guest experience.

Wellness Activities

Daily wellness activities complement medical treatment by supporting physical recovery, mental relaxation and healthy lifestyle development. Each day follows a structured rhythm incorporating morning Yoga and evening meditation, both guided by qualified instructors and adapted to participants' individual capabilities. Guests may also participate in relaxation techniques, breathing practices and therapeutic Yoga prescribed according to their medical condition. Beyond formal wellness sessions, the estate provides opportunities for walking along more than 1.5 kilometres of paved pathways, cycling, kayaking, fishing, seasonal fruit harvesting and nature-based relaxation throughout the riverside property. Weekly cooking lessons introduce traditional Kerala cuisine, while pottery sessions are organised periodically depending on guest participation. Recreational facilities including the library, swimming pool and private home theatre provide additional leisure options without disrupting treatment schedules, and excursions such as the included visit to Athirappilly Waterfalls are arranged so that prescribed therapies remain uninterrupted.

Facilities and Services (Excluding Room Amenities)

Softouch Ayurveda Village combines the operational standards of an accredited healthcare facility with boutique retreat services. Medical facilities include physician consultation areas, Panchakarma treatment rooms and clinical therapy spaces operating under NABH-accredited protocols. Guests benefit from daily doctor consultations, prescribed internal medicines during their stay, qualified nursing support, experienced Panchakarma therapists and emergency medical assistance when required. Additional facilities include swimming pools, a private home theatre, library, Yoga pavilion, meditation spaces, landscaped walking trails, cycling routes, kayaking facilities, organic gardens and riverfront relaxation areas. Complimentary round-trip airport transfers from Cochin International Airport are included for stays of seven nights or longer, together with an organised excursion to Athirappilly Waterfalls. Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, although guests are encouraged to undertake a digital detox, with secure device storage available upon request. Laundry, private Yoga sessions, travel assistance and local sightseeing arrangements are also available.

Sustainability and Guest Guidelines

The property promotes a wellness environment centred on responsible living, mindful behaviour and harmony with the surrounding natural landscape. Organic cultivation supports aspects of the retreat's nutritional programme, while electric vehicles are utilised for local transportation arranged through the resort. Guests are encouraged to minimise digital distractions during treatment, with secure storage available for electronic devices upon request. To preserve the therapeutic atmosphere, Softouch maintains a strictly smoke-free and alcohol-free policy, requests quiet behaviour in public spaces and encourages respectful dress within communal areas. International travellers receive guidance regarding visas, airport transfers and medical documentation before arrival, while guests undergoing Panchakarma are advised to complete online consultations and provide relevant medical reports in advance. The retreat also outlines clear policies regarding pregnancy, pre-existing medical conditions, cancellation procedures, gratuities, booking terms and safe participation in activities such as kayaking.

Guest Experience and Stay Approach

Softouch Ayurveda Village positions itself as a doctor-led therapeutic retreat rather than a conventional wellness resort. Every stay is designed around medical objectives, with physicians determining treatments, medicines, nutrition and programme duration according to individual clinical requirements. The intentionally limited guest capacity enables close interaction between doctors, therapists, nurses and guests throughout treatment. Daily schedules balance therapies, medical reviews, Yoga, meditation, nutritious meals and periods of rest to optimise recovery without creating a rushed itinerary. Recreational experiences are carefully integrated around treatment schedules rather than replacing them, encouraging guests to reconnect with nature while maintaining therapeutic continuity. The combination of accredited clinical standards, personalised healthcare, traditional Kerala hospitality, tranquil natural surroundings and comprehensive all-inclusive services creates an environment where physical treatment, emotional wellbeing and lifestyle transformation progress together under continuous professional supervision.

More about Softouch Ayurveda Village

Dining at Softouch Ayurveda Village is an integral part of the therapeutic process rather than a standalone hospitality service. Every meal is designed to complement the guest's personalised treatment plan and is prescribed according to Ayurvedic medical principles under the guidance of the property's physicians. Instead of following a fixed restaurant menu, the culinary programme supports each stage of treatment by aligning meals with the individual's Prakruti (constitutional type), Dosha imbalance, digestive capacity (Agni), medical condition, treatment phase and recovery objectives. Nutrition is regarded as an essential therapeutic intervention that works alongside medicines, Panchakarma procedures and lifestyle modifications to maximise clinical outcomes.

Guests receive full-board vegetarian dining, including breakfast, lunch and dinner, throughout their stay. Meals are freshly prepared using wholesome ingredients and follow Ayurvedic dietary principles that emphasise freshness, simplicity and digestibility. Physicians may modify the composition of meals as treatments progress, ensuring that nutritional support remains aligned with changing therapeutic requirements. Particular attention is given to food quality, origin, preparation methods, portion size, meal timing and appropriate food combinations, enabling each meal to actively contribute to healing, detoxification and restoration rather than simply providing nourishment.

The retreat follows a Dosha-specific nutritional philosophy, recognising food as an important component of Ayurvedic medicine. During rejuvenation programmes, meals are designed to restore vitality and maintain constitutional balance, while guests undergoing Panchakarma or detoxification receive carefully regulated diets that correspond with the various phases of cleansing and recovery. Weight management programmes incorporate physician-supervised dietary plans intended to support healthy metabolism, whereas immunity-building, healthy ageing and other therapeutic programmes receive individually adjusted nutritional guidance appropriate to each guest's medical goals. Throughout the stay, dietary recommendations are reviewed during daily doctor consultations, allowing modifications whenever clinically necessary.

Softouch Ayurveda Village further enhances its dining philosophy through a farm-to-table approach, incorporating produce from its organic gardens whenever seasonally available. The surrounding estate includes areas for seasonal fruit harvesting, allowing guests to experience aspects of the property's agricultural environment while reinforcing its emphasis on natural living and sustainable food production. Weekly Kerala cooking lessons provide guests with practical exposure to traditional recipes and Ayurvedic-inspired home cooking, encouraging healthier dietary habits that can be continued after returning home.

The retreat maintains dietary practices that protect the effectiveness of medical treatment throughout the residential programme. Outside food and beverages are not permitted, as external meals may interfere with prescribed dietary regimens and treatment outcomes. The property also operates as a strictly smoke-free and alcohol-free sanctuary, reinforcing an environment conducive to detoxification, recovery and holistic wellbeing. Guests are encouraged to follow physician recommendations regarding nutrition for the duration of their stay, recognising that dietary discipline forms an essential part of the overall therapeutic programme rather than an optional lifestyle choice.

Beyond its medically supervised Ayurveda programmes, Softouch Ayurveda Village provides a carefully curated range of leisure experiences designed to complement treatment while maintaining a calm and restorative atmosphere. Set across an 18-acre riverfront estate along the Chalakudy River, the retreat encourages guests to reconnect with nature through quiet, low-impact activities that support physical recovery and mental relaxation. Leisure is intentionally integrated into the daily treatment schedule, allowing adequate periods of rest between therapies without disrupting personalised medical plans. Guests have unrestricted access to the property's landscaped gardens, riverfront spaces and forested surroundings, creating opportunities for peaceful reflection and immersion in Kerala's natural environment.

Nature forms an important aspect of the guest experience, with more than 1.5 kilometres of paved walking paths winding through the estate's lush greenery. These trails encourage gentle walking and mindful exploration while providing opportunities to observe the property's rich natural landscape. Guests wishing to explore further may use bicycles, available upon request, with helmets provided for safety. The riverside setting also offers kayaking and fishing, organised on request, enabling guests to enjoy the tranquil waters of the Chalakudy River. Kayaking is conducted under safety guidelines and requires guests to sign a liability waiver before participation.

The retreat also offers a variety of cultural and recreational experiences that allow guests to engage with Kerala's traditions beyond their treatment sessions. Weekly cooking classes introduce authentic Kerala recipes while encouraging healthier eating practices that complement Ayurvedic principles. Pottery workshops, organised up to three times each month depending on guest participation, provide a creative and relaxing activity suited to the retreat's peaceful environment. During the harvesting season, guests may also participate in seasonal fruit harvesting within the property's organic gardens, offering a closer connection to the estate's farm-to-table philosophy.

Indoor leisure facilities have been developed to provide relaxation without compromising the retreat's quiet atmosphere. Guests may enjoy the private home theatre, which offers streaming services including Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hotstar, with advance booking requested approximately two hours beforehand. A library provides a peaceful setting for reading and reflection, while the swimming pool offers opportunities for gentle recreation within designated operating hours. To preserve the calm environment, the pool closes after 17:00, and children between 10 and 17 years must remain under parental supervision. Throughout the property, guests are encouraged to observe quiet hours and maintain the tranquil ambience that supports fellow guests undergoing medical treatment.

Leisure experiences are further enriched through the retreat's proximity to one of Kerala's best-known natural attractions. Guests staying for seven nights or longer receive a complimentary guided excursion to Athirappilly Waterfalls, with transportation included as part of the all-inclusive package. The visit is carefully scheduled around each guest's treatment plan to ensure that prescribed therapies are not interrupted. Combined with daily Yoga, meditation, opportunities for digital detox and the peaceful riverside environment, these leisure offerings create a balanced stay where recreation, relaxation and holistic healing coexist within the framework of a medically supervised wellness retreat.

At Softouch Ayurveda Village, Ayurveda is practised as a doctor-led clinical healthcare system rather than a spa or relaxation experience. Every guest begins the wellness journey with a comprehensive medical consultation conducted by a qualified Ayurvedic physician, during which the individual's Prakruti (constitutional type), Vikruti (current imbalance), Dosha status, Dhatu condition, Agni (digestive fire), Ojas (vitality), Sattva (mental wellbeing), lifestyle, dietary habits, sleep quality and medical history are thoroughly evaluated. Based on this assessment, physicians prescribe a personalised combination of therapies, internal herbal medicines, Panchakarma procedures where appropriate, dietary modifications, Yoga practices and meditation. Treatment plans are reviewed through daily doctor consultations, allowing therapies and medicines to be adjusted according to the guest's clinical progress rather than following a fixed schedule. This evidence-based, individualised approach reflects the property's commitment to authentic Ayurvedic healthcare delivered within a NABH-accredited hospital environment.

The property's principal medical speciality is Panchakarma, regarded as the highest level of Ayurvedic detoxification and purification. Rather than offering standardised treatment packages, physicians determine whether Panchakarma is clinically appropriate following detailed consultation and diagnosis. Preparatory procedures including Snehana (oleation) and Swedana (sudation) are prescribed before the principal cleansing therapies, which may include Vamana, Virechana, Basti, Nasya and Raktamokshana, depending entirely on the individual's medical requirements. These intensive therapies are followed by carefully planned rejuvenation measures intended to restore physiological balance and support long-term wellbeing. Panchakarma programmes generally require a minimum stay of fourteen nights, ensuring sufficient time for preparation, detoxification, recovery and medical supervision throughout the treatment process. Complimentary pre-arrival consultations are available for guests considering Panchakarma, enabling physicians to assess health concerns and advise on programme suitability before arrival.

Beyond Panchakarma, Softouch Ayurveda Village provides a broad portfolio of condition-based therapeutic programmes addressing preventive healthcare, chronic disorders and lifestyle-related conditions. These include Ayurveda Rejuvenation, Detoxification & Purification, Weight Management, Spinal & Joint Care, Stress & Burnout Management, Fertility & Pre-conception Care, Repetitive Strain Injury Management, Immunity & Body Rejuvenation and Healthy Ageing. Depending on individual diagnosis, physicians may prescribe therapies such as Abhyanga, Pizhichil, Shirodhara, Njavarakizhi, Udvarthanam, Patra Potali Swedam, Kati Basti, Greeva Basti, Ksheera Dhara, Marma Massage, Chavutti Thirumal, Lepanam, Podikkizhi, Thalam, Netra Dhara, Karnapoorana, Sneha Vasti, Rasayana therapies and numerous other classical Kerala Ayurvedic procedures. Internal herbal medicines, therapeutic diets and lifestyle recommendations are integrated into every programme to address the underlying causes of illness rather than simply managing symptoms.

Yoga forms an essential component of the property's holistic treatment philosophy and is integrated into every residential programme rather than offered solely as a recreational activity. Guests participate in daily one-hour morning Yoga sessions, conducted by qualified instructors and adapted to individual age, physical ability and medical condition. Under the guidance of Yogacharya Sanjay Anand R, a Certified Yoga Therapist with 29 years of experience, sessions combine classical asanas, pranayama, therapeutic Yoga techniques and relaxation practices to improve flexibility, posture, breathing, circulation and overall physical function. The Yoga programme is carefully coordinated with each guest's medical treatment plan, enabling therapeutic movement to complement Panchakarma, rejuvenation therapies and rehabilitation while avoiding unnecessary physical strain. Private Yoga sessions may also be arranged upon request for guests requiring more individualised instruction.

Meditation is equally integrated into the daily wellness routine, with one-hour guided evening meditation sessions supporting mental relaxation, emotional balance and recovery from stress. Meditation practices are incorporated alongside Yoga, breathing exercises and other relaxation techniques to encourage the cultivation of Sattva, the Ayurvedic state associated with clarity, harmony and mental stability. Across several treatment programmes, the property specifically identifies meditation as an important therapeutic intervention for managing stress, strengthening emotional resilience, improving sleep quality and encouraging healthier long-term lifestyle habits. These practices are adapted according to each guest's comfort level and clinical condition, allowing both beginners and experienced practitioners to participate safely under professional guidance. Together with the retreat's riverside environment, structured daily routine and digital detox philosophy, meditation contributes to an atmosphere that supports both psychological wellbeing and physical healing throughout the residential programme.

Panchakarma

A Panchakarma retreat is a deeply transformative Ayurvedic detox and healing program designed to eliminate accumulated toxins, restore internal balance, and rejuvenate the body and mind. Rooted in the ancient science of Ayurveda, Panchakarma meaning “five actions” is a medically guided process that works at a cellular level to remove toxins (Ama), strengthen digestion (Agni) and balance the three doshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Unlike modern detox programs or wellness retreats that focus only on relaxation, a Panchakarma retreat is a structured therapeutic process aimed at long-term health, disease prevention and complete physiological reset. In today’s fast-paced lifestyle, the body is constantly exposed to stress, processed foods, environmental pollutants and irregular routines. These factors weaken digestion and lead to the accumulation of Ama, a toxic byproduct that obstructs bodily channels and disrupts normal functioning. Over time, this imbalance manifests as fatigue, weight gain, poor digestion, hormonal issues, joint pain, skin disorders, and mental stress. A Panchakarma retreat addresses these root causes by mobilising and eliminating toxins from deep tissues, allowing the body to restore its natural intelligence and healing capacity. A traditional Panchakarma treatment follows a carefully structured three-stage process to ensure safety and effectiveness. The first stage, known as preparation (Purva Karma), involves therapies such as Snehana (internal and external oiling) and Swedana (herbal steam therapy), which help loosen and mobilise toxins from the tissues. The second stage, the main detox phase (Pradhana Karma), includes specialised treatments such as Virechana (therapeutic purgation), Basti (medicated enemas), Nasya (nasal detox), and in specific cases, Vamana or Raktamokshana. These therapies are selected based on individual diagnosis and are performed under the supervision of qualified Ayurvedic doctors. The final stage, rejuvenation (Paschat Karma), focuses on restoring strength, rebuilding immunity, and stabilising the body through herbal medicines, a specialised Ayurvedic diet, and lifestyle guidance. A Panchakarma retreat offers a wide range of benefits that go beyond physical detoxification. It improves digestion and metabolism, supports sustainable weight management, enhances immunity, reduces stress and anxiety, improves sleep quality, and promotes clearer skin and increased energy levels. One of the most profound effects of Panchakarma is its impact on mental clarity and emotional balance. As toxins are eliminated from the body, the nervous system becomes more stable, allowing the mind to shift from a state of stress to a state of calm and focus. Many individuals experience a deep sense of reset, both physically and mentally, after completing a Panchakarma program. When choosing a Panchakarma retreat, location plays a crucial role in the effectiveness of the treatment. A Panchakarma retreat in Kerala, India is widely considered the most authentic and effective option due to its strong Ayurvedic lineage, ideal tropical climate, and access to medicinal herbs. Kerala is home to highly trained BAMS-certified Ayurvedic doctors who follow classical treatment protocols, ensuring a medically accurate and personalised approach. The warm and humid climate of Kerala supports detoxification by opening the body’s channels, making treatments more effective compared to colder regions. For this reason, Kerala has become the global centre for authentic Panchakarma therapy. Across India, Panchakarma retreats are available in various formats, ranging from traditional Ayurvedic hospitals to luxury wellness resorts. While India offers a wide range of options, the quality and authenticity of treatment can vary significantly, making it important to choose centres that provide personalised care and medical supervision. A Panchakarma retreat in Sri Lanka offers a similar tropical environment and is emerging as a destination for Ayurvedic healing, often combining traditional therapies with a more relaxed retreat experience. Meanwhile, a Panchakarma retreat in Bali is popular for its scenic beauty and luxury wellness offerings, although treatments may be adapted and may not always follow classical Ayurvedic protocols as practised in India. A typical Panchakarma retreat includes an initial consultation with an Ayurvedic doctor, personalised treatment planning, daily therapies, herbal medications, and a specialised Ayurvedic diet designed to support detoxification. Many retreats also incorporate yoga, meditation, and lifestyle guidance to enhance overall well-being. The duration of a Panchakarma program can vary depending on individual health goals, with 7-day programs offering mild detox, 14-day programs providing moderate cleansing, and 21 to 28-day programs delivering deep detoxification and long-term healing benefits. For chronic conditions and deeper imbalances, longer programs are generally recommended. Choosing the right Panchakarma retreat is essential for achieving safe and effective results. A genuine retreat should offer qualified Ayurvedic doctors, personalised treatment protocols, daily medical supervision, authentic Panchakarma therapies, and a structured dietary plan. It is important to understand that Panchakarma is not a spa treatment or a relaxation package—it is a medical healing process rooted in Ayurvedic science. A Panchakarma retreat is ultimately an investment in long-term health and well-being. It is ideal for individuals seeking to address chronic health issues, improve digestion, reduce stress, enhance immunity, or simply reset the body and mind. By removing deep-rooted toxins and restoring balance, Panchakarma allows the body to function optimally and maintain a state of natural harmony. Whether you choose a Panchakarma retreat in Kerala, India, Sri Lanka, or Bali, the experience offers a powerful opportunity to reconnect with your health, restore vitality, and experience true holistic healing.

Rasayana Chikitsa (Rejuvenation Therapy)

Rasayana Chikitsa occupies a unique place in Ayurveda as the branch dedicated to rejuvenation, regeneration, and longevity science. While commonly understood as a therapy, Rasayana is traditionally described as a discipline that enhances the quality of life by improving tissue integrity, cognitive function, and resistance to ageing. It operates through specialised protocols that support the renewal of body tissues (Dhatus) and optimise the flow of nutrients across physiological systems. One of the defining aspects of Rasayana therapy is its focus on tissue nourishment at successive levels. Ayurveda explains that the body is sustained through a chain of tissue formation—from plasma (Rasa) to reproductive tissue (Shukra). When this chain is disrupted, degeneration, fatigue, and premature ageing begin to appear. Rasayana Chikitsa works by improving this tissue transformation process, ensuring that each layer is properly nourished and regenerated. A key concept associated with Rasayana is Ojas, considered the essence of all bodily tissues and the foundation of immunity, vitality, and mental stability. Depletion of Ojas is linked to chronic fatigue, low immunity, emotional instability, and reduced resilience. Rasayana therapies are designed to rebuild Ojas through targeted herbal formulations, dietary regulation, and restorative treatments that strengthen both physical and psychological endurance. Rasayana Chikitsa is also closely connected to age management in Ayurveda. Classical texts describe different stages of life and recommend Rasayana interventions to slow down degeneration and maintain optimal function. This makes it particularly relevant for individuals seeking healthy ageing, improved cognitive performance, and sustained energy levels rather than symptomatic treatment alone. There are different approaches within Rasayana therapy, including Kutipraveshika Rasayana (a highly controlled and intensive rejuvenation protocol conducted in isolation) and Vatatapika Rasayana (a more practical, lifestyle-integrated approach suitable for retreat settings). While the former is rarely practised in modern environments due to its strict requirements, the latter forms the foundation of most Rasayana Chikitsa retreat programs today. Geographical context plays an important role in the effectiveness of Rasayana therapy. A Rasayana Chikitsa retreat in Kerala, India offers access to traditional Ayurvedic lineages, region-specific herbal preparations, and clinical expertise developed over generations. The natural humidity and temperature of Kerala are considered supportive for therapeutic absorption and tissue nourishment. In comparison, other parts of India offer varied approaches, ranging from clinical Ayurvedic hospitals to wellness-focused retreats. A Rasayana retreat in Sri Lanka shares similar climatic advantages and continues to grow as a complementary Ayurvedic destination. Meanwhile, a rejuvenation retreat in Bali is often positioned within a luxury wellness framework, where the emphasis may lean more towards relaxation and lifestyle enhancement rather than classical Ayurvedic methodology. Rasayana Chikitsa is particularly relevant in conditions involving degeneration and depletion, including low immunity, post-illness recovery, chronic fatigue syndromes, and age-related decline. It is also used to support mental performance, memory, and emotional stability, making it beneficial for individuals experiencing burnout or cognitive strain. A structured Rasayana program involves more than therapies alone. It includes strict adherence to dietary guidelines (Pathya), behavioural discipline, and routine alignment to maximise absorption and effectiveness. Seasonal considerations (Ritucharya) and daily routines (Dinacharya) are often integrated into the program to enhance long-term outcomes. The success of Rasayana therapy depends heavily on consistency, correct sequencing, and the individual’s ability to follow these guidelines. Another important aspect is that Rasayana Chikitsa is often recommended after detoxification therapies such as Panchakarma, as a cleansed body is more receptive to nourishment and regeneration. This sequencing significantly enhances the effectiveness of Rasayana interventions. Choosing the right Rasayana Chikitsa retreat requires attention to medical authenticity and program structure. Key factors include the presence of qualified Ayurvedic physicians, use of classical herbal formulations, personalised protocols, and a controlled environment that supports rest and recovery. Unlike general wellness programs, Rasayana therapy requires a methodical approach to deliver measurable and lasting results. Rasayana Chikitsa ultimately represents Ayurveda’s vision of sustained vitality rather than temporary wellness. By focusing on regeneration, tissue strength, and internal resilience, it provides a pathway to maintain health, delay ageing, and enhance overall quality of life in a structured and scientifically grounded manner.

Shodhana Chikitsa (Body Detoxification)

Shodhana Chikitsa represents the purificatory branch of Ayurveda, focusing on the systematic elimination of accumulated waste and restoring physiological balance. It is a clinically structured approach that works through specialised procedures designed to cleanse different systems of the body, including the digestive tract, circulatory pathways, and deeper tissue channels (Srotas). In Ayurveda, the body’s internal transport system plays a crucial role in maintaining health. When these channels become obstructed due to improper digestion, lifestyle factors, or environmental influences, it can lead to stagnation, inflammation, and the progression of disease. Shodhana therapies are designed to clear these pathways, allowing nutrients to circulate effectively and supporting the body’s natural regulatory functions. A core component of Shodhana Chikitsa is its integration with the classical detoxification framework commonly associated with Panchakarma. Depending on individual requirements, purification methods such as Virechana (therapeutic purgation), Vamana (controlled emesis), and Basti (medicated enema therapy) may be incorporated to target specific imbalances. These procedures are not applied uniformly but are carefully selected and sequenced based on the individual’s constitution and clinical condition. Before the main purification procedures, the body undergoes preparatory processes that enhance the effectiveness of detoxification. These include Snehana (internal and external oleation) to loosen deeply seated toxins and Swedana (herbal steam therapy) to mobilise them into the digestive tract for elimination. This preparatory phase ensures that the purification process is both effective and controlled. Following detoxification, a structured post-therapy phase is introduced to stabilise the body and restore digestive strength. This includes gradual dietary progression, digestive support, and lifestyle regulation to ensure that the system adapts smoothly after the cleansing process. Without this phase, the benefits of detoxification may not be sustained. A Shodhana Chikitsa retreat in Kerala, India offers a highly authentic setting for these therapies due to the region’s long-standing Ayurvedic tradition, availability of trained practitioners, and use of classical treatment protocols. Kerala’s climate supports sweating and metabolic activity, which enhances the efficiency of detoxification procedures. Across India, detox programs are available in both clinical and retreat formats, while destinations such as Sri Lanka and Bali provide alternative wellness-focused experiences that may combine Ayurvedic principles with broader spa and relaxation approaches. Shodhana Chikitsa is particularly relevant for individuals dealing with chronic imbalances, inflammatory conditions, metabolic disorders, and skin-related concerns, where toxin accumulation and channel obstruction play a significant role. It is also used as a preparatory step before deeper rejuvenation therapies, as a cleansed system responds more effectively to nourishment and restorative treatments. This form of Ayurvedic detoxification is not a general wellness trend but a medically guided process that requires precision, sequencing, and professional supervision. Its effectiveness lies in its ability to address the root level of imbalance, making it a foundational therapy within the broader Ayurvedic system of healing.

Weight Management

Ayurvedic weight management is based on the principle that sustainable weight balance is achieved through metabolic correction, hormonal regulation, and lifestyle alignment, rather than temporary calorie restriction. It focuses on restoring the body’s natural ability to process, absorb, and utilise nutrients efficiently, ensuring that weight loss occurs gradually and remains stable over time. One of the key factors addressed in Ayurvedic weight management is the role of metabolic toxins (Ama) and impaired digestive fire, which can lead to the accumulation of excess body fat and fluid retention. When metabolic pathways are inefficient, the body tends to store rather than utilise energy, resulting in persistent weight gain despite dietary control. Ayurvedic therapies are designed to stimulate these metabolic processes and improve the body’s ability to eliminate waste effectively. A structured weight management retreat in Kerala, India includes a combination of specialised therapies that actively support fat metabolism and circulation. Treatments such as Udwarthanam, a herbal powder massage, help break down subcutaneous fat and improve lymphatic drainage, while Swedana (therapeutic steam) enhances sweating and supports toxin elimination. In certain cases, detox-oriented procedures may also be incorporated to reset metabolic function and improve treatment outcomes. Diet plays a central role in the success of a weight management program. Rather than restrictive eating, Ayurveda emphasises digestive efficiency and food compatibility, prescribing meals that are easy to metabolise and aligned with the individual’s constitution. This approach helps regulate appetite, reduce cravings, and improve nutrient absorption without creating nutritional deficiencies. Lifestyle correction is another essential component. Daily routines (Dinacharya), sleep regulation, and physical activity such as yoga are integrated into the program to support metabolic balance and long-term weight stability. These practices ensure that the results achieved during the retreat can be maintained beyond the treatment period. A weight management retreat in Kerala offers a distinct advantage due to its combination of authentic Ayurvedic expertise, climate, and access to high-quality herbal preparations. Across India, programs may vary between clinical centres and wellness retreats, while destinations such as Sri Lanka and Bali offer similar experiences with a stronger emphasis on relaxation and wellness tourism rather than classical Ayurvedic protocols. This approach is particularly beneficial for individuals dealing with stubborn weight gain, metabolic slowdown, fluid retention, or post-diet weight rebound. It is also suitable for those seeking a structured and medically guided program that goes beyond conventional weight loss methods. Ayurvedic weight management ultimately focuses on retraining the body’s internal systems, allowing it to maintain balance naturally. By combining therapies, diet, and lifestyle practices, it provides a comprehensive and sustainable pathway to achieving optimal body weight and long-term metabolic health.

Stress Management

Ayurvedic stress management is centred on the understanding that mental strain and nervous system imbalance are closely linked to physiological disruption. When the body remains in a prolonged state of stimulation, it affects sleep patterns, digestion, hormonal balance, and cognitive function. Ayurveda approaches this condition by stabilising the nervous system, regulating internal rhythms, and restoring the body’s ability to shift between activity and recovery. A key factor in stress-related conditions is the imbalance of Vata dosha, which governs movement, nerve impulses, and mental activity. When aggravated, it can lead to restlessness, anxiety, irregular sleep, and mental fatigue. Ayurvedic therapies focus on grounding and stabilising this imbalance through consistent, rhythm-based treatments that calm the system and reduce overstimulation. A structured stress management retreat in Kerala, India incorporates therapies specifically designed to regulate the nervous system. Treatments such as Shirodhara, where warm medicated oil is poured over the forehead, help reduce mental hyperactivity and improve sleep patterns. Abhyanga (synchronised oil massage) supports circulation and induces a state of deep relaxation, while Nasya (nasal therapy) is used to clear the head region and improve mental clarity. These therapies work together to shift the body from a heightened stress response to a more stable and balanced state. In addition to treatments, herbal formulations are prescribed to support the nervous system and improve the body’s adaptive response to stress. These are combined with structured daily routines, breathing practices, and meditation techniques that help regulate mental activity and improve focus. The environment plays a significant role in the effectiveness of stress management programs. A stress management retreat in Kerala provides a setting that supports recovery through natural surroundings, consistent climate, and access to experienced Ayurvedic practitioners. Across India, programs may vary between clinical and retreat-based formats, while Sri Lanka offers a similar tropical setting with a growing focus on Ayurvedic relaxation therapies. In contrast, Bali positions stress management within a wellness tourism framework, often blending Ayurveda with yoga and spa-based experiences. This approach is particularly beneficial for individuals experiencing burnout, chronic stress, sleep disturbances, anxiety, or cognitive fatigue. It is also relevant for those whose work or lifestyle involves prolonged mental engagement, irregular routines, or high levels of responsibility. A typical program begins with a detailed consultation, followed by a personalised treatment plan that integrates therapies, diet, and daily routine adjustments. Emphasis is placed on consistency and gradual regulation rather than quick relief, ensuring that the nervous system stabilises over time. Ayurvedic stress management ultimately focuses on retraining the body’s response to stress, allowing it to function without constant overstimulation. By combining therapeutic interventions with lifestyle correction, it offers a structured and sustainable method to improve mental clarity, sleep quality, and overall cognitive function.

Treatment For Skin Diseases

In Ayurveda, skin conditions are often seen as signs of internal imbalance, particularly involving the Pitta and Kapha doshas. Ayurvedic treatment focuses on addressing the root causes rather than only the visible symptoms. By assessing an individual’s Prakriti (body constitution), lifestyle, and health status, practitioners design personalised treatments that may include herbal formulations, dietary guidance, and therapeutic procedures. In certain cases, cleansing therapies such as Panchakarma may also be recommended to support internal purification. Through this holistic approach, Ayurveda aims to promote healthier skin while restoring balance and overall wellbeing.

The available property information establishes a clinical model in which treatment is prescribed and monitored by qualified Ayurveda physicians within an NABH-accredited Ayurveda hospital, rather than selected from a fixed spa menu. However, the available sources do not provide a dedicated description of the cellulitis programme or document a specific Ayurvedic disease classification, Dosha imbalance, Agni disturbance, or other underlying mechanism specifically attributed to cellulitis. Softouch states that every stay begins with an Ayurvedic physician consultation and that treatment plans are determined on clinical grounds, with therapies prescribed and supervised by doctors. The centre's wider medical framework also incorporates personalised nutrition according to the individual's Dosha, while the duration and precise treatment plan are confirmed through medical assessment. Although the requested duration is 14 nights, the currently available public sources do not provide cellulitis-specific evidence explaining why this duration is clinically required or documenting particular expected outcomes. The final care plan should therefore be established by the attending Ayurvedic physician after considering the individual's Prakriti, Vikriti, health condition, age, physical strength and therapeutic objectives. Infertility

Infertility, the inability to conceive after prolonged attempts, can stem from factors like hormonal disorders, lifestyle stress, or imbalances in reproductive health. Ayurveda views infertility as an imbalance in doshas, primarily Vata and Pitta, affecting the Shukra Dhatu (reproductive tissues). Treatments involve Panchakarma detox therapies to cleanse toxins, improve metabolism, and rejuvenate the reproductive system. Herbal medicines such as Ashwagandha, Shatavari, and Gokshura support hormonal regulation and vitality. A customized diet, yoga, and stress-relief practices further enhance fertility. This holistic approach helps optimize reproductive function, increasing the chances of natural conception.

Treatment For Back Pain

Central to Ayurveda is the concept of balance and harmony within the body, achieved through a combination of natural remedies, lifestyle adjustments, and therapeutic practices. Herbal remedies play a significant role in Ayurvedic treatment for back pain. Various herbs and botanicals with anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties are utilized to reduce swelling, alleviate muscle tension, and relieve pain. These may include substances such as ginger, turmeric, ashwagandha, and guggulu, which have been used for centuries to support musculoskeletal health and promote overall well-being. Dietary modifications are another essential aspect of Ayurvedic therapy for back pain. Recommendations typically involve consuming foods that possess anti-inflammatory properties while avoiding those that can contribute to inflammation and aggravate discomfort. Additionally, emphasis is placed on maintaining proper digestion and eliminating toxins from the body, as digestive health is closely linked to overall wellness in Ayurveda. Incorporating lifestyle adjustments is integral to the Ayurvedic approach to managing back pain. This may involve adopting correct posture habits, engaging in regular physical activity to strengthen the back muscles and improve flexibility, and implementing stress-reducing practices such as meditation and deep breathing exercises. By addressing the root cause of back pain through lifestyle modifications, Ayurveda aims to prevent future occurrences and promote long-term relief. Ayurvedic therapies offer a range of specialized treatments tailored to individuals experiencing back pain. These may include Panchakarma detoxification procedures to cleanse the body of accumulated toxins, as well as therapeutic massages using specific herbal oils to soothe sore muscles, improve circulation, and promote relaxation. Yoga and meditation are also commonly prescribed as part of Ayurvedic therapy, offering gentle yet effective methods to alleviate tension, restore balance, and enhance overall spinal health. In essence, Ayurvedic treatment for back pain provides a holistic and personalized approach that addresses the interconnectedness of the body, mind, and spirit. By restoring harmony within the individual, Ayurveda not only offers relief from back pain but also fosters a state of optimal health and well-being.

Male Infertility Treatment

Male infertility is becoming common today due to stress, poor lifestyle, and unhealthy food habits. One major cause is low sperm count (oligospermia), sometimes along with poor sperm movement or thick semen. According to Ayurveda, this condition happens when the body is not properly nourished from within. When digestion (Agni) is weak, toxins (Ama) are formed. These toxins block the body channels (Srotas) and prevent proper nourishment of tissues. Since Shukra Dhatu is the final and most refined tissue, it gets affected the most, leading to low sperm count and poor quality. Factors like stress, irregular food habits, lack of sleep, and suppression of natural urges also disturb the doshas, especially Vata, which plays an important role in reproductive function. In some cases, conditions like varicocele increase heat around the testes. This excess heat (Pitta) can reduce sperm quality and affect normal function. Ayurveda focuses on treating the root cause rather than just the symptoms. The approach includes improving digestion, removing toxins, balancing doshas, and strengthening reproductive tissues. Special care is also given to mental health, as stress can directly affect fertility. With proper diet, lifestyle changes, and supportive Ayurvedic therapies, the body gradually regains balance, helping improve sperm health and overall fertility.

It can be caused by various factors such as irregular ovulation, hormonal imbalances, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), thyroid disorders, blocked fallopian tubes, uterine abnormalities, or age-related decline in fertility. Common signs may include irregular menstrual cycles, absence of ovulation, hormonal disturbances, or no obvious symptoms in some cases. Emotional stress, poor nutrition, lack of physical activity, and unhealthy lifestyle habits can also contribute to infertility. In Ayurveda, female infertility is understood as a disorder involving imbalance of doshas, especially Vata (affecting movement and ovulation), Pitta (affecting hormonal balance and metabolism), and Kapha (causing blockages in reproductive channels). Proper functioning of Artava Dhatu (reproductive tissue) and balanced Agni (digestive fire) are essential for conception. Ayurvedic management focuses on correcting the root cause by balancing doshas, improving reproductive health, and preparing the body for conception. Treatment may include a nourishing and fertility-supportive diet, herbal medicines that regulate hormones and ovulation, and lifestyle practices that reduce stress and improve overall well-being. Therapies such as Abhyanga (medicated oil massage) help relax the body, while Basti (medicated enema therapy) is important for balancing Vata and improving reproductive function. Uttara Basti (specialized intrauterine therapy) may be recommended in certain cases under expert supervision. Detoxification therapies like Virechana may also be advised to balance Pitta and improve metabolism. Practices such as yoga, meditation, and maintaining a healthy routine play a vital role in enhancing fertility and increasing the chances of conception.

14 Nights Female Infertility Treatment Program

The 14 Nights Female Infertility Treatment Program at Softouch Ayurveda Village is centred on fertility support and pre-conceptional care for women experiencing infertility, while addressing factors that the property associates with impaired fertility, including chronic stress, irregular routines, poor diet, environmental toxins and delayed parenthood. The programme is presented within the Ayurvedic concept of Garbhadhana Samskara, a structured approach intended to prepare the physical, mental and emotional state before conception. Its fertility care is led by Dr Anjana L R, Ayurveda Gynaecologist & Fertility Consultant, whose clinical specialities include infertility, menstrual irregularities, PCOS, endometriosis, hormonal imbalances and fertility support. The programme's medical framework seeks to correct identified imbalances and improve reproductive health rather than treating infertility as an isolated symptom. The broader objectives are to support reproductive health, optimise physical and emotional readiness for conception, enhance vitality and encourage healthier pre-conception habits. Personalised nutritional guidance and appropriate relaxation practices form part of the documented care approach, while the programme's 14–21-night minimum stay allows the prescribed medical plan to be developed according to individual requirements. As the programme is classified as Panchakarma, intensive procedures require appropriate medical assessment and approval. Treatment is personalised after a detailed consultation and Ayurvedic evaluation, with the physician determining the appropriate plan according to the woman's Prakriti, current health status, age, physical strength, fertility concerns and therapeutic objectives. Note: All treatments and program components are personalised following the initial consultation with the retreat's Ayurveda doctor and the guest's health condition. Therapy protocols may vary accordingly.

The hotel exceeded all our expectations. Both the doctors and therapists personally addressed every single one of our concerns, and we returned feeling both mentally relaxed and free from any health issues.
The hotel exceeded all our expectations. Both the doctors and therapists personally addressed every single one of our concerns, and we returned feeling both mentally relaxed and free from any health issues. The hotel offers a peaceful and safe environment, and we felt the healing effects of nature on both our bodies and souls. The vegetarian menus were delicious and meticulously prepared. The massages were extremely professional and left no room for doubt about hygiene. The rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable. All the hotel staff were friendly, attentive, and hospitable. They patiently answered every question and made us feel right at home. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking true relaxation and rejuvenation. We extend our sincere thanks to the Karadan family for hosting us.

From the Airport pickup to an endearing warm reception by the gracious host, to the refreshing tender coconut water welcome drink, to the intoxicating fresh jasmine flower mala offering, Softouch Ayurveda Village and Resort is a magical paradise and a delightful place. Tastefully designed and decorated it is an exquisite gem ? set in beautifully lush and naturally green trees, an abundance of colourful flowers, and a symphony of birdsongs in the gardens while the Chalakudy River flows quietly in the background. The family ambience that defines Softouch showcases the love and care in every detail of the meals, Ayurvedic treatments, and exceptional accommodations and guest relations & recreation services. The Ayurvedic doctors and therapists were 1st ? class, highly knowledgeable, attentive and extraordinary in their support. Thanks for the take home gifts … truly heartwarming. I arrived as a guest and left as part of the Softouch Ayurveda Village Family. I experienced the heart and hands ? of the Divine at Softouch Ayurveda Village and Resort. I’ll be back! ?

The land and rooms instantly made us feel calm and at peace. The greeting was very kind and we felt extremely taken care of during our short stay which I believe is needed during spa or other treatments. We did not think or worry about anything. The treatments were wonderful and food was delicious. Thank you for such a relaxing stay. I hope to come back for a longer stay. Everyone went above and beyond here.

I recently had the privilege of staying at Softouch Ayurveda Village, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of nature, surrounded by 18 acres of lush greenery and situated on the banks of a majestic river. The property, owned by the gracious Mr.Davis and Mrs.Preethy a tranquil retreat from the chaos of city life, and my experience was truly unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, the warm hospitality of the staff made me feel at home. Mrs. Preethy ,the co-owner, was always present during meal times, greeting guests with a warm smile and providing detailed information about the food, ensuring that everyone felt cared for and attended to. Her dedication to ensuring a memorable stay for each guest is truly commendable. *Mr. Karan, the CEO and son of the owners*, played a pivotal role in ensuring our stay was exceptional. His enthusiasm and commitment to providing an outstanding experience were evident throughout our visit. He was always available to cater to our needs, whether it was arranging for kayaking on the river or simply checking in to ensure our stay was comfortable. The medical team, led by *Dr. Henry (Senior Doctor)*, *Dr. Jugunu (MD)*, and *Dr. Anjana (RMO)*, provided exceptional care and attention, tailoring the Ayurvedic treatments to each guest's needs. The team of therapists, including *Deepa* and *Saneesha* (female therapists) and *Vineesh* and *Jijo* (male therapists), were skilled and attentive, ensuring that we felt relaxed and rejuvenated throughout our stay. The hospitality team, led by *Remya (HR)*, was always available to cater to our needs, ensuring a seamless experience throughout our stay. The serving staff, including *Chingwang* and *Ating*, were attentive and courteous, adding to the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the property. The kitchen staff, including *Alli*, prepared delicious and healthy meals tailored to each guest's needs. The property's 12 cottages are beautifully maintained, and the lush greenery surrounding them adds to the serene ambiance. We also enjoyed kayaking on the river, which added an exciting element to our stay. I visited Softouch Ayurveda Village with my wife, and our experience was on par with many international tours I've taken. The attention to detail, the warmth of the staff, and the serene surroundings made our stay truly unforgettable. *Overall Experience:* 5/5 I would highly recommend Softouch Ayurveda Village to anyone looking for a serene and rejuvenating retreat. The property's natural beauty, combined with the warmth and hospitality of the staff, makes it a truly unforgettable experience. Mukesh Gadhvi IAS ( Retd) Gujarat
