Description Of Treatment
The five actions of Panchakarma are Abhyanga (oil massages done as preparatory treatments), Inner Oiling (done through the ingestion of ghee to lubricate the body and prepare it for the following actions), Virechana (purgation), Vasti (enema treatment with herbal oils of decoctions) and Nasya (nasal passage lubrication). It is preceded by a preparatory process called Poorvakarma. At this stage the body is prepared for removing “toxins” first through Snehanam which make the body oily internally and externally, and second through Swedanam which means therapeutic sweating. -

This was the first time for me and my mum doing an Ayurvedic retreat and we really couldn’t ask for a better place to stay for our 21 days panchakarma experience. Sitaram Beach Retreat is an excellent resort that goes above and beyond for your health and happiness. Next to the professional consultations and Ayurvedic treatments, every staff member is committed to provide the best service possible- From check in/ front desk over the whole kitchen staff to the room cleaning service and gardeners. We particularly enjoyed the awareness sessions such as group and private Yoga as well as Pranayama and we hope that in the future the resort will continue to focus and expand these sessions. Heaven on earth! Best place to relax and rejuvenate health. Staff is incredibly attentive, kind, and helpful. Food by chef Pradanth is fantastic, and yet you can still lose weight:). I will come back every year!! Good for solo travel and couples

I arrived as somewhat of a sceptic and ended up feeling thoroughly relaxed and refreshed. The staff are fantastic, the food wholesome and delicious and the Premium villas very comfortable indeed. I lost weight, learned a bit of yoga (in group and private classes) and even learned to cook some new delicious dishes. You can do as much or as little as you like….no pressure. My wife did everything on offer and loved every moment. She felt nurtured and cared for during the whole week. Its very authentic and we highly recommend it. Rooms: Premium villas very private and comfortable. Cleaned daily with love and care. Aircon and fan with excellent outdoor shower. Mozzie nets on all windows and doors.More
