Rockholm Ayurveda and Yoga Retreat

Rockholm at the Lighthouse Beach is a full-fledged Ayurveda and Yoga-centric beach hotel. The main facilities include a multi-cuisine sea-facing restaurant, Ayurvedic treatments, a Yoga center, Doctor on call, Money Exchanging Facilities, Travel Desk, Sightseeing trips, as well as private access to a secluded area of the Lighthouse beach.  

Each guest room is appointed with floor-to-ceiling Fenesta glass windows that insulate and maintain a decibel level of below 30 dB when the doors are closed, ensuring a restful sleep. Each window has a mosquito net to further ensure there are no external disturbances. Designed with highly tempered sunproof glass, these windows provide adequate privacy and overall protection from noise, rain, dust, and pollution.  

The guest room linens are plush and comfortable, sourced from the house of Raenco Linen Mills. They are of premium and luxurious quality with a thread count of over 200 to ensure a good night’s rest. Bedsheets have a 210 thread count per square meter, pillow covers have a 230 thread count per square meter, and towels are double piles.  

The swimming pool at Rockholm comes with a lovely deck for panoramic views of the Light House Beach and the Arabian Sea. Lifeguards are available from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. at Lighthouse Beach. Two bicycles are available for guest use.  

In guest rooms, the Samsung Smart UHD TVs are appointed with a mirror screen so guests can access Netflix and similar streaming devices on their Android phones.  

Rockholm has direct sea access from within the resort, opening up to a small 200-meter cove with a white sandy beach that overlooks the Arabian Sea. Frequently spotted dolphins and other sea life, as well as Catamarans used by local fisherfolk for fishing, can be seen. The beach is constantly monitored by a team of friendly security personnel who maintain a constant vigil for the safety of guests. The beach beds laid out on the large open lawns are available all year round and are perfect for gazing into the Arabian Sea. Please note that during the heavy monsoon months of June, July, and August, the beach line recedes inwards and is unsafe for swimming.  

Rockholm is located right on the Lighthouse Beach stretch, and all rooms and suites have beautiful, immediate views of the Arabian Sea. The beach is a stone’s throw away from the hotel, and guests have direct access to a secluded, covered area of the beach. There are a total of 32 coconut trees on the property.  

The rooms reflect a modern, minimalistic art deco concept. Unique materials, including Panamanian Teak Wood, Purple Heart, and Pincoda Timber, add to the ambiance and atmosphere in the rooms. The artisan tiles in the bathrooms are inspired by the Mediterranean tile style of design, and the intricate floral geometric patterns are hand-painted using the technique ‘Cuerda Seca’ (a technique of applying colored glazes to ceramic surfaces) that lends a unique finish to the overall decor. Each room is well-ventilated with floor-to-ceiling glass doors that lead to sea-facing private balconies, allowing natural light to filter in. The glass doors are sunproof and protect the room against noise, dust, rain, and pollution, facilitating rest, privacy, and relaxation.  

Hand-woven hemp rugs in earthy colors are used in the guest rooms. These rugs are organic, anti-slippery, eco-friendly, and chemical-free, adding an earthy charm to the decor of the guest rooms. Hemp is a strain of the Cannabis Sativa plant species, grown particularly for the industrial uses of its derived products. It is one of the fastest-growing plants and has been spun into usable fiber for over 10,000 years.  

 The gardens at Rockholm are designed to accentuate the vast expansive sea view from every corner. Due to the high salt content in the air, the flora is grown accordingly, including the presence of coconut trees and Bougainville Which soothes the mind and helps to relax. 

Frequently Spotted Birds on the property include crows, ravens, great herons, pigeons, eagles, kingfishers, and peacocks. 

Additionally, frequently spotted animals in the vicinity consist of palm squirrels, geckos, civet cats, chameleons, and Indian toads. 

The Herbal Garden in the Ayurveda Center provides a vast range of medicinal herbs used for treatments and the Rockholm Life Ayurveda oils. Visitors will find it fascinating to learn about the specificities and benefits of each plant growing there 

Rockholm announces that Ayurveda and Wellness are the cornerstones of a stay at their establishment. Starting from August 1, 2023, they will exclusively accept bookings for Ayurveda Packages, with a minimum stay of 7 nights recommended for the Rejuvenation Package, and a minimum stay of 14 nights and above encouraged for the Panchakarma Package. 

As an Ayurvedic Retreat, they ensure a serene ambiance throughout the stay. Their vibrant garden features medicinal plants like Neem, Aloe Vera, Brahmi, Wood Apple, Bhringaraj, Curry Leaf, Vetiver, Ginger, and Turmeric, alongside popular flowering plants including Bird of Paradise, Hibiscus, Lilies, Travelers Palm, Heliconias, and Agave. 

The Ayurveda Centre operates from 9 am to 6 pm every day of the week. Guests can contact the reception if they wish to book a massage during their stay at Rockholm. 

The Ayurveda Centre comprises three treatment rooms – Vayu, Surya, and Tara, an Ayurveda lobby, a doctor’s consulting room, and a Steam bathroom. 

Please Note: There will be no session on Sundays from 5.30 pm – 6.00 pm. Guests are advised to bring their pool towel for yoga sessions. 

The hotel exclusively caters to resident guests for Ayurveda and Yoga sessions. 

Nattika Life Ayurveda Oils is the in-house brand of oils meticulously crafted by their team of renowned Ayurvedic Vaidyas at the production unit in Thrissur. They offer a selection of medicated and herbal oils available for purchase at their Ayurveda Centre in 500 ml and 250 ml glass bottles, sealed by Nattika Life Ayurveda Oils.
