Daily yoga and meditation, led by a gifted teacher who is also a doctor, brought a deep sense of connection and peace. These sessions became a gentle anchor throughout my stay. I went with my 18 year old daughter who had a terrible year of I'll health. I also travelled with a broken ankle. We are both now feeling 100%. We had such care and love. This is not a retreat to be pampered it is authentic ayurveda. It is not a fancy hotel but a true experience of kerala countryside. We will return again and again.

I would like to share with you my experience at the Deepanjali Retreat Hospital. I stayed 40 days at the deepanjali to do the panchekarma cure. First of all, I'd like to tell you about the location: the centre is in a village away from the hustle and bustle of the world! I really appreciated the calm and tranquillity of the place. The place is surrounded by tropical vegetation and wildlife, and the birdsong makes you feel serene. The place is small, with all the reception, restaurant and doctor's offices in the same place, which is really practical. They are currently in the process of extending the premises with an annex that will house a pharmacy and doctors' surgery. The centre can accommodate 16 people in total, which is perfect for making you feel at home. Concerning the staff at the deepanjali, I can only say one word: ‘Family’. Everyone is very well-intentioned and attentive, whether it's the warm welcome at reception or room service... And yes you have the possibility if you wish it to eat in your room perfect for all the people who wish to make a retreat like me. The housekeepers are wonderful and always have a smile on their faces. And what can I say about the exceptional food... Concerning the panchakarma cure, which was my first experience... I would say go with your eyes closed... that there are uncomfortable moments during the cure... Like the purging and cleansing You receive two treatments a day according to your needs, which are decided once you have had your interview with the Ayuverdic doctors on the first day. I can only encourage you to make this experience by taking minimum 21 days of cure. The therapists are very dedicated to your well-being... But it is important to tell them if you are uncomfortable for any reason. During my stay I also had the pleasure of practising yoga every day. It was a great experience and after 40 days I really felt a big difference in my body, more supple... I'd also like to tell you about my meeting with Rajesh who is a healer who works in partnership with the centre, his experience his skills and his intense listening make him a really great person to meet. With his experience, he was able to find the treatments that best suited my needs. Take an appointment with him with your eyes closed. To conclude I would say that my experience at deepanjali was exceptional. I want to thank this wonderful place. I arrived with digestive problems, they adjusted a treatment for me that combined a healthy and delicious diet, relaxing and special treatments with natural oils and plants, I really enjoyed the yoga. The entire medical team is professional, all the employees are very nice and kind. After two weeks I feel much better and my condition has improved a lot. The environment is very pleasant and green. I highly recommend it.
