Sarathy Ayurveda itself was founded in 2004 by renowned Ayurveda physician Dr P.K. Over the years, Sarathy Ayurvedic Clinic and Sarathy Ayurvedic Hospital have emerged as trusted destinations for Ayurveda healing domestically and internationally, achieving NABH accreditation in March 2019 and adding new specialties in Shalya Tantra (Ayurveda surgery) and Prasootitantra and Streeroga (Ayurveda obstetrics and gynaecology). Programs Offered

14 Nights Fissure Treatment Program

The Ayur Village Retreat provides focused Ayurvedic care for individuals seeking support for anal fissure and related anorectal health concerns. The approach is grounded in the hospital’s specialised Shalyatantra practice and its broader emphasis on personalised Ayurvedic healthcare. Rather than applying an identical plan to every guest, clinical care is determined according to the individual’s condition and overall health status. The Ayurvedic assessment considers the specific presentation of the disorder within the patient’s constitution and current health imbalance, while maintaining a classical, patient-centred approach to anorectal care. This makes the program appropriate for guests requiring dedicated Ayurvedic management and clinical supervision for fissure-related concerns. The program’s broader therapeutic objective is to support symptom management, recovery and improved anorectal wellbeing, while encouraging appropriate dietary and lifestyle practices that can contribute to sustainable digestive and general health. Its preventive value lies in supporting healthier daily habits and reducing factors that may adversely affect ongoing wellbeing, where appropriate to the individual’s clinical assessment. The program provides a structured residential setting for continued medical supervision, while the expected course of care remains individual-dependent rather than guaranteed. Before treatment is planned, the Ayurvedic physician conducts a detailed clinical assessment and develops an individual care plan considering the guest’s Prakriti, Vikriti, health condition, age, physical strength and therapeutic objectives, with the approach adjusted to the person’s specific requirements. Note: All treatments and program components are personalised following the initial consultation with the retreat's Ayurveda doctor and the guest's health condition. Therapy protocols may vary accordingly.

Panchakarma

A Panchakarma retreat is a deeply transformative Ayurvedic detox and healing program designed to eliminate accumulated toxins, restore internal balance, and rejuvenate the body and mind. Rooted in the ancient science of Ayurveda, Panchakarma meaning “five actions” is a medically guided process that works at a cellular level to remove toxins (Ama), strengthen digestion (Agni) and balance the three doshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Unlike modern detox programs or wellness retreats that focus only on relaxation, a Panchakarma retreat is a structured therapeutic process aimed at long-term health, disease prevention and complete physiological reset. In today’s fast-paced lifestyle, the body is constantly exposed to stress, processed foods, environmental pollutants and irregular routines. These factors weaken digestion and lead to the accumulation of Ama, a toxic byproduct that obstructs bodily channels and disrupts normal functioning. Over time, this imbalance manifests as fatigue, weight gain, poor digestion, hormonal issues, joint pain, skin disorders, and mental stress. A Panchakarma retreat addresses these root causes by mobilising and eliminating toxins from deep tissues, allowing the body to restore its natural intelligence and healing capacity. A traditional Panchakarma treatment follows a carefully structured three-stage process to ensure safety and effectiveness. The first stage, known as preparation (Purva Karma), involves therapies such as Snehana (internal and external oiling) and Swedana (herbal steam therapy), which help loosen and mobilise toxins from the tissues. The second stage, the main detox phase (Pradhana Karma), includes specialised treatments such as Virechana (therapeutic purgation), Basti (medicated enemas), Nasya (nasal detox), and in specific cases, Vamana or Raktamokshana. These therapies are selected based on individual diagnosis and are performed under the supervision of qualified Ayurvedic doctors. The final stage, rejuvenation (Paschat Karma), focuses on restoring strength, rebuilding immunity, and stabilising the body through herbal medicines, a specialised Ayurvedic diet, and lifestyle guidance. A Panchakarma retreat offers a wide range of benefits that go beyond physical detoxification. It improves digestion and metabolism, supports sustainable weight management, enhances immunity, reduces stress and anxiety, improves sleep quality, and promotes clearer skin and increased energy levels. One of the most profound effects of Panchakarma is its impact on mental clarity and emotional balance. As toxins are eliminated from the body, the nervous system becomes more stable, allowing the mind to shift from a state of stress to a state of calm and focus. Many individuals experience a deep sense of reset, both physically and mentally, after completing a Panchakarma program. When choosing a Panchakarma retreat, location plays a crucial role in the effectiveness of the treatment. A Panchakarma retreat in Kerala, India is widely considered the most authentic and effective option due to its strong Ayurvedic lineage, ideal tropical climate, and access to medicinal herbs. Kerala is home to highly trained BAMS-certified Ayurvedic doctors who follow classical treatment protocols, ensuring a medically accurate and personalised approach. The warm and humid climate of Kerala supports detoxification by opening the body’s channels, making treatments more effective compared to colder regions. For this reason, Kerala has become the global centre for authentic Panchakarma therapy. Across India, Panchakarma retreats are available in various formats, ranging from traditional Ayurvedic hospitals to luxury wellness resorts. While India offers a wide range of options, the quality and authenticity of treatment can vary significantly, making it important to choose centres that provide personalised care and medical supervision. A Panchakarma retreat in Sri Lanka offers a similar tropical environment and is emerging as a destination for Ayurvedic healing, often combining traditional therapies with a more relaxed retreat experience. Meanwhile, a Panchakarma retreat in Bali is popular for its scenic beauty and luxury wellness offerings, although treatments may be adapted and may not always follow classical Ayurvedic protocols as practised in India. A typical Panchakarma retreat includes an initial consultation with an Ayurvedic doctor, personalised treatment planning, daily therapies, herbal medications, and a specialised Ayurvedic diet designed to support detoxification. Many retreats also incorporate yoga, meditation, and lifestyle guidance to enhance overall well-being. The duration of a Panchakarma program can vary depending on individual health goals, with 7-day programs offering mild detox, 14-day programs providing moderate cleansing, and 21 to 28-day programs delivering deep detoxification and long-term healing benefits. For chronic conditions and deeper imbalances, longer programs are generally recommended. Choosing the right Panchakarma retreat is essential for achieving safe and effective results. A genuine retreat should offer qualified Ayurvedic doctors, personalised treatment protocols, daily medical supervision, authentic Panchakarma therapies, and a structured dietary plan. It is important to understand that Panchakarma is not a spa treatment or a relaxation package—it is a medical healing process rooted in Ayurvedic science. A Panchakarma retreat is ultimately an investment in long-term health and well-being. It is ideal for individuals seeking to address chronic health issues, improve digestion, reduce stress, enhance immunity, or simply reset the body and mind. By removing deep-rooted toxins and restoring balance, Panchakarma allows the body to function optimally and maintain a state of natural harmony. Whether you choose a Panchakarma retreat in Kerala, India, Sri Lanka, or Bali, the experience offers a powerful opportunity to reconnect with your health, restore vitality, and experience true holistic healing.

Rasayana Chikitsa (Rejuvenation Therapy)

Rasayana Chikitsa occupies a unique place in Ayurveda as the branch dedicated to rejuvenation, regeneration, and longevity science. While commonly understood as a therapy, Rasayana is traditionally described as a discipline that enhances the quality of life by improving tissue integrity, cognitive function, and resistance to ageing. It operates through specialised protocols that support the renewal of body tissues (Dhatus) and optimise the flow of nutrients across physiological systems. One of the defining aspects of Rasayana therapy is its focus on tissue nourishment at successive levels. Ayurveda explains that the body is sustained through a chain of tissue formation—from plasma (Rasa) to reproductive tissue (Shukra). When this chain is disrupted, degeneration, fatigue, and premature ageing begin to appear. Rasayana Chikitsa works by improving this tissue transformation process, ensuring that each layer is properly nourished and regenerated. A key concept associated with Rasayana is Ojas, considered the essence of all bodily tissues and the foundation of immunity, vitality, and mental stability. Depletion of Ojas is linked to chronic fatigue, low immunity, emotional instability, and reduced resilience. Rasayana therapies are designed to rebuild Ojas through targeted herbal formulations, dietary regulation, and restorative treatments that strengthen both physical and psychological endurance. Rasayana Chikitsa is also closely connected to age management in Ayurveda. Classical texts describe different stages of life and recommend Rasayana interventions to slow down degeneration and maintain optimal function. This makes it particularly relevant for individuals seeking healthy ageing, improved cognitive performance, and sustained energy levels rather than symptomatic treatment alone. There are different approaches within Rasayana therapy, including Kutipraveshika Rasayana (a highly controlled and intensive rejuvenation protocol conducted in isolation) and Vatatapika Rasayana (a more practical, lifestyle-integrated approach suitable for retreat settings). While the former is rarely practised in modern environments due to its strict requirements, the latter forms the foundation of most Rasayana Chikitsa retreat programs today. Geographical context plays an important role in the effectiveness of Rasayana therapy. A Rasayana Chikitsa retreat in Kerala, India offers access to traditional Ayurvedic lineages, region-specific herbal preparations, and clinical expertise developed over generations. The natural humidity and temperature of Kerala are considered supportive for therapeutic absorption and tissue nourishment. In comparison, other parts of India offer varied approaches, ranging from clinical Ayurvedic hospitals to wellness-focused retreats. A Rasayana retreat in Sri Lanka shares similar climatic advantages and continues to grow as a complementary Ayurvedic destination. Meanwhile, a rejuvenation retreat in Bali is often positioned within a luxury wellness framework, where the emphasis may lean more towards relaxation and lifestyle enhancement rather than classical Ayurvedic methodology. Rasayana Chikitsa is particularly relevant in conditions involving degeneration and depletion, including low immunity, post-illness recovery, chronic fatigue syndromes, and age-related decline. It is also used to support mental performance, memory, and emotional stability, making it beneficial for individuals experiencing burnout or cognitive strain. A structured Rasayana program involves more than therapies alone. It includes strict adherence to dietary guidelines (Pathya), behavioural discipline, and routine alignment to maximise absorption and effectiveness. Seasonal considerations (Ritucharya) and daily routines (Dinacharya) are often integrated into the program to enhance long-term outcomes. The success of Rasayana therapy depends heavily on consistency, correct sequencing, and the individual’s ability to follow these guidelines. Another important aspect is that Rasayana Chikitsa is often recommended after detoxification therapies such as Panchakarma, as a cleansed body is more receptive to nourishment and regeneration. This sequencing significantly enhances the effectiveness of Rasayana interventions. Choosing the right Rasayana Chikitsa retreat requires attention to medical authenticity and program structure. Key factors include the presence of qualified Ayurvedic physicians, use of classical herbal formulations, personalised protocols, and a controlled environment that supports rest and recovery. Unlike general wellness programs, Rasayana therapy requires a methodical approach to deliver measurable and lasting results. Rasayana Chikitsa ultimately represents Ayurveda’s vision of sustained vitality rather than temporary wellness. By focusing on regeneration, tissue strength, and internal resilience, it provides a pathway to maintain health, delay ageing, and enhance overall quality of life in a structured and scientifically grounded manner.

Eczema Treatment (Vicharchika)

Eczema (also called dermatitis) is a common, chronic inflammatory skin condition that makes the skin dry, itchy, red, and inflamed, often in a relapsing pattern of flare-ups and calmer periods. The most common form, atopic eczema, frequently begins in childhood and tends to run in families alongside asthma and hay fever. It isn't contagious, and while it can be genuinely distressing, it is very manageable, and many children improve or outgrow it as they age. It's honest to say that eczema is a tendency rather than a one-off illness: it can be controlled and soothed, but not simply "cured" for good, and good everyday skincare remains its foundation. Ayurveda has one of the world's deepest traditions of skin care, understanding conditions like eczema as Vicharchika within the broader group of Kushta (skin disorders), and offers genuine supportive care to calm flares, ease the itch, and support healthier skin.

Fissure-in-ano Treatment

Fissure-in-Ano is a painful condition characterized by a tear in the anal canal lining, often caused by constipation, hard stools, or strain during bowel movements. Ayurveda attributes it to aggravated Vata and Pitta doshas leading to dryness and inflammation. Treatment focuses on softening stools with herbal formulations like Avipathi Choornam and Triphala, applying soothing oils and ointments to aid healing, and performing local therapies such as sitz baths with medicated decoctions. Internal cleansing, diet rich in fiber, and Panchakarma therapies help restore digestive balance and prevent recurrence, providing a comprehensive and natural approach to long-term relief.

Treatment For Skin Diseases

In Ayurveda, skin conditions are often seen as signs of internal imbalance, particularly involving the Pitta and Kapha doshas. Ayurvedic treatment focuses on addressing the root causes rather than only the visible symptoms. By assessing an individual’s Prakriti (body constitution), lifestyle, and health status, practitioners design personalised treatments that may include herbal formulations, dietary guidance, and therapeutic procedures. In certain cases, cleansing therapies such as Panchakarma may also be recommended to support internal purification. Through this holistic approach, Ayurveda aims to promote healthier skin while restoring balance and overall wellbeing.

The 28 Nights Piles Treatment Program at Ayur Village Retreat offers focused Ayurvedic care for individuals seeking support for piles and related anorectal health concerns. The program draws on the hospital’s specialised Shalyatantra and conservative Ayurvedic approach to anorectal disorders, with care centred on the individual rather than a standardised treatment pathway. Within Ayurveda, piles are recognised under Arshas, an anorectal disorder for which appropriate clinical assessment is important in determining the nature of care required. The hospital’s approach combines classical Ayurvedic principles with careful evaluation of the patient’s presenting condition and overall health, making the program suitable for guests requiring dedicated clinical management of piles under Ayurvedic medical supervision. The therapeutic objectives include supporting symptom management, improving anorectal comfort and promoting recovery, while appropriate dietary and lifestyle guidance can contribute to healthier digestive and bowel habits. Longer-term care places emphasis on maintaining wellbeing and adopting sustainable health practices that may help reduce factors associated with recurrent anorectal difficulties. The program provides an extended setting for supervised care, although individual recovery and clinical requirements vary. A comprehensive consultation and clinical assessment guide the treatment plan, with the Ayurvedic physician considering the guest’s Prakriti, Vikriti, current health condition, age, physical strength and therapeutic goals before determining an appropriate personalised course of care. Note: All treatments and program components are personalised following the initial consultation with the retreat's Ayurveda doctor and the guest's health condition. Therapy protocols may vary accordingly.

Infertility

Infertility, the inability to conceive after prolonged attempts, can stem from factors like hormonal disorders, lifestyle stress, or imbalances in reproductive health. Ayurveda views infertility as an imbalance in doshas, primarily Vata and Pitta, affecting the Shukra Dhatu (reproductive tissues). Treatments involve Panchakarma detox therapies to cleanse toxins, improve metabolism, and rejuvenate the reproductive system. Herbal medicines such as Ashwagandha, Shatavari, and Gokshura support hormonal regulation and vitality. A customized diet, yoga, and stress-relief practices further enhance fertility. This holistic approach helps optimize reproductive function, increasing the chances of natural conception.

Female Infertility Treatment

Female infertility is a condition in which a woman is unable to conceive despite regular attempts over a significant period of time. It can be caused by various factors such as irregular ovulation, hormonal imbalances, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), thyroid disorders, blocked fallopian tubes, uterine abnormalities, or age-related decline in fertility. Common signs may include irregular menstrual cycles, absence of ovulation, hormonal disturbances, or no obvious symptoms in some cases. Emotional stress, poor nutrition, lack of physical activity, and unhealthy lifestyle habits can also contribute to infertility. In Ayurveda, female infertility is understood as a disorder involving imbalance of doshas, especially Vata (affecting movement and ovulation), Pitta (affecting hormonal balance and metabolism), and Kapha (causing blockages in reproductive channels). Proper functioning of Artava Dhatu (reproductive tissue) and balanced Agni (digestive fire) are essential for conception. Ayurvedic management focuses on correcting the root cause by balancing doshas, improving reproductive health, and preparing the body for conception. Treatment may include a nourishing and fertility-supportive diet, herbal medicines that regulate hormones and ovulation, and lifestyle practices that reduce stress and improve overall well-being. Therapies such as Abhyanga (medicated oil massage) help relax the body, while Basti (medicated enema therapy) is important for balancing Vata and improving reproductive function. Uttara Basti (specialized intrauterine therapy) may be recommended in certain cases under expert supervision. Detoxification therapies like Virechana may also be advised to balance Pitta and improve metabolism. Practices such as yoga, meditation, and maintaining a healthy routine play a vital role in enhancing fertility and increasing the chances of conception.

Psoriasis Treatment Program (Sidhma Chikilsa)

While conventional treatments aim to manage symptoms, Ayurveda offers a distinct approach, rooted in ancient wisdom and personalized care. Our Ayurvedic treatment program for psoriasis is tailored to each individual's unique constitution and imbalances. Through careful assessment, we identify the root causes of the condition, often linked to imbalances in the body's doshas—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. By addressing these imbalances through a combination of dietary modifications, herbal supplements, detoxification techniques, and lifestyle adjustments, we strive to restore harmony within the body. Central to our approach is the use of specific herbs renowned for their anti-inflammatory, detoxifying, and immune-modulating properties. These natural remedies, combined with therapeutic massages and specialized skin treatments, target the underlying pathology of psoriasis while providing relief from symptoms such as itching, scaling, and redness. Moreover, our program emphasizes stress management techniques such as meditation, yoga, and breathing exercises, recognizing the intricate connection between mental well-being and skin health. By promoting relaxation and reducing stress levels, we aim to prevent flare-ups and support long-term healing. Our goal is not merely to alleviate symptoms but to foster holistic wellness, empowering individuals to take control of their health and lead fulfilling lives free from the constraints of psoriasis. Through our comprehensive Ayurvedic approach, we offer hope and healing to those seeking an alternative path to skin rejuvenation and overall well-being.

The hospital’s approach to skin health is consistent with its wider individualised, Prakruthi-based healthcare philosophy, allowing the care plan to be adapted to the specific needs and health status of each guest. The Program is therefore intended for individuals seeking structured Ayurvedic support for psoriasis within a comprehensive approach to skin and general wellbeing. The therapeutic objectives include supporting healthier skin, managing psoriasis-related symptoms and promoting overall physical wellbeing while encouraging sustainable health practices. Appropriate dietary guidance and lifestyle modification may form part of personalised care where relevant to the individual’s condition, supporting habits that can be continued after the treatment period. Preventive attention to recurring skin concerns can also encourage longer-term awareness and wellbeing. The Ayurvedic physician establishes the appropriate care plan following comprehensive consultation and clinical assessment, taking into consideration Prakriti, Vikriti, the health condition, age, physical strength and therapeutic goals so that care remains individually appropriate throughout the Program. Note: All treatments and program components are personalised following the initial consultation with the retreat's Ayurveda doctor and the guest's health condition. Therapy protocols may vary accordingly.

Starting Rate: ₹ 280,000

14 Nights Anorectal Treatment Program

The 14 Nights Anorectal Treatment Program at Ayur Village Retreat  is intended for individuals seeking Ayurvedic management of ano-rectal disorders, including conditions such as piles and fistula. The hospital’s Shalyatantra and proctology expertise provides a specialised clinical focus for anorectal health, with care centred on individual assessment rather than a uniform approach.
