Beautiful Ayurveda retreat centre with an amazing view, relaxing massage options and great food and service

We highly appreciated our 7 days Ayurveda retreat with Amara. Manu from the reception is a very kind and helpful person.The ayurveda team is really doing a great job, starting with the doctor and especially the therapists (Rateesh and Sunita, not sure of the spelling). The saltwater pool is great. The retreat is in a remote and calm area however only a 5 min tuktuk drive from Kovalam beach. The (dosha specific) food is fresh and good and staff very kind. The room was very clean and spacy, we had a premium earth villa (second floor room with balcony). The bed is very confortable despite only 140 cm large. We recommend Amara Ayurveda reatreat.

The place has got scenic beauty..they try their best to make things nature friendly. The walls, floor, surroundings, washroom items etc. The pool is good and accessible till 8pm. You can either do staycation or you can avail the number of Ayurveda treatments. There are special packages and you'll have a great time here.

Amara Ayurveda Retreat was such a treat to stay at! The rooms were just amazing and the property even better! WORTH ALL THE MONEY, especially if you are spending most of your at the property. The rooms are modern with antique furniture, there is a wellness building, swimming pool, and greenery all round. The staff was polite and very helpful. I am very glad to have stayed at Amara and would recommend it for anyone visiting Kovalam/Trivandrum 😇

Well maintained property! Polite & friendly staffs. We visited for a quick break for a stay of one night with 3 adults & 2 kids.. Check in was smooth & rooms were allocated in few minutes. Rooms 401 & 402 were big and spacious with balcony type sits outs.. nice mountain views.. Kids & myself loved the pool. though was not very crowded, found 2 foreigners & other couple of families. Dinner was alcarte at restaurant, food made after order is made, hence there was bit delay but the food was served hot & tasty! Evening snacks & tea too was severed in room after 20 to 30 mins of ordering. Mr.Sanesh at Ayurveda center was friendly and gave a nice professional massage. Breakfast too was good, we walked in around 7:30 am and was bit too early, but by 8:15 am all was ready... Staffs at restaurant too was friend & polite. Prompt and asked whether we need more... Over all was nice an experience, value for the money! Would be nice if more kids friendly activates are added as there is nothing else other than pool for kids to enjoy.. something like kite flying, cycling, dart, carroms, etc..

Great place for Ayurvedic massage...

Located on top of the hill with stunning nature. Very peaceful place. Thoughtfully built property & tastefully furnished. Very beautiful & clean Ayurvedic massages are excellent. Staff are friendly. People come for short holiday break & not necessarily use the Ayurvedic facilities

A perfect retreat for a family . A great place for a function too. The ayurvedic wing is extremely neat and service is best, with the utmost affordable rates. Good food . They have taken great efforts to make it an eco friendly place.

Das Hotel liegt im Grünen in den Hügeln in Kovolom. Die Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet, sauber und haben einen Balkon. Das gesamte Personal war immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Speisen im Restaurant waren frisch gekocht und lecker. Der Service war auch hier immer sehr freundlich und gut. Die Ayurvedabehandlung wurde durch einen sehr kompetenten und freundlichen Arzt begleitet. Er war immer ansprechbar. Die Massagen und Behandlungen waren gut ausgeführt und wirkungsvoll. Das Hotel liegt in der Einflugschneise des Flughafens und am Wochenende hört man bereits sehr früh die Lautsprecher der umliegenden Kirchen und Tempel. Beautiful property. Excellent view. Close to Kovalam beach. Ideal for Ayurvedic massage. Rooms are quite good. Excellent and friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Quite and very clean place with swimming pool. No water pressure. Required to install a pressure pump.

The hotel as such was ok . Food was ok. The ayurveda spa staff was very unprofessional. Had a bad experience

Complimentary breakfast was really bad also not even a play area with carroms or Table tennis for kids. there is nothing related to ayurveda here except the name.nOverall nice place, nice rooms, nice stay.

The view great but all the hill climbing to get to restaurants and clases not so good the bed was so hard we left food ok but little bland good life guard on beach The grounds are great if a little hilly even mountain goat might struggle. Try to get ice was a mission but unsuccessful
