Nice resort good for a holiday with great ambiance and nice view to the beach. Nice place for all kinds of visitors.
One place for all kinds of adventures and great spa options for Ayurvedic relaxations.
Nestled in the serene beauty of Kerala, The Leela Kovalam by Raviz stands as a beacon of luxury and comfort.
Guests consistently praise the hotel for its exceptional cleanliness and they're not wrong.
Although it is quite pricey, it is definitely worth it if you're looking for a luxurious stay.
What sets The Leela Kovalam apart is its phenomenal staff, who are always ready to go the extra mile to make your stay memorable.
My wife and I also asked for a late check out as we had a late flight and the staff were so accommodating - I'll never forget it.
Their spa and Ayurveda facilities are on another level!
Arun, Karuna, Shaleena, Sujit, Suraj and Deepu were magnificent. The housekeeping team Sunita and Viji were wonderful! Viji was so lovely and nice!
In summary, The Leela Kovalam by Raviz is more than just a hotel; it's a destination that offers a unique blend of traditional Keralan hospitality and modern luxury. Whether you're here for relaxation or exploration, you're guaranteed a stay that will linger in your memories for years to come.
visited Leela at Udaipur and booked this just to experience another marvelous stay for a short vacation.
A lot of good things here. The view of the ocean is Outstanding! You can relax, sun bathe and enjoy a quality time by the infinite poolside by the sea. The food is great! Chef Sudeep is super helpful (helped me with an Ayurvedic soup for my sore throat). Although breakfast can have a few more options, but the High Tea during sunset is mind-blowing! The servers seem to be a little overwhelmed during peak hours and need to be reminded on few basics couple of times but they do their best!
The Spa and Yoga facilities are excellent! Do try them out. The yoga trainers are knowledgeable and overall with wellbeing, it was quite a holistic experience.
What can be improved? The check in and check out experience! Manager Aji is helpful and does his best, Urmila needs to be reminded a couple of times on certain things, but overall the quality is affected. Not a very encouraging experience with the check in and check out, a few simple process improvements can make this experience worthwhile.
A 5 star experience can easily come through for a Leela standard when the Staff during check-in and check-out pull up their socks. Else it remains a 4 star from me. :)
The experience at the Favourite Kerala Ayurveda & Spa was fantastic. The ayurvedic massages, body scrubs and facials were truly one of a kind. In particular, Shinu, Bhavya, Jijesh, Sharth & Hima did such a wonderful job. Our entire family had an amazing experience at this spa and would truly recommend it to all who come to the Leela Hotel in Kovalem.
We absolutely loved The Leela.
We absolutely loved The Leela. I stayed in a Club Room with my 11 year old son and we couldn
It's a very beautiful place. We had been there couple of times and we have enjoyed our stay every single time. They have boating and spa. Ayurvedic Spa is heavenly and very affordable.
This is one of the best property in kerala.
The staff was very cordial. This is one of the best property in kerala. The view fem our rooms were outstanding. The food was good to. Would certainly recommend to family and friends. The ayurveda spa there is exceptional. Will make sure we visit next year as well
This was one of the best experiences I have had. The warm/hot oil and Ayurveda massage was amazing. I went to a different level of relaxation than I have experienced before as the oil streamed back and forth over my forehead. It was otherworldly. If you have not tried it yet, you must. You will not be disappointed. A premium experience from the time I arrived until the time I ,reluctantly, left.
I traveled to India for the first time mid-September and chose The Leela Kovalam for a nine day Ayurveda program. I read all the reviews here about the hotel being a bit outdated, and also knew ahead of time that The Leela chain had only taken over the running of the hotel three months ago and that the majority of the staff were new, having started to work at that time.
I stayed in a Superior Sea View room and personally liked the Southern Indian style of the room and bathroom. People wanting a more modern room would be better off in the Club rooms or suites but for me, the very large room size and excellent terrace facing the palm trees and the beaches just North of the hotel was just perfect. Add to that an incredibly comfortable bed, I was very happy. My only suggestion would be that it would be nice to have had the option to not have my sheets and towels changed everyday so as to conserve water and electricity, but I think this may be uncommon in India.
The hotel grounds are beautiful and you can tell that they are constantly taking care of them. From peacocks strolling around to Indian spotted eagles floating overhead, it was all just breathtaking.
I can't really speak to the hotel's restaurant food as I was doing an Ayurveda program but friends who were dining in the main restaurant said that there was Western, South Indian, Asian and other cuisines and it was also quite tasty. The food prepared for me based on the Ayurveda doctor's menu was delicious and beautiful I also think that while the hotel's restaurant and Club Cafe may be a bit stark and too lit for a Westerner, that may change in time when the makeup of the guests change.
As to my Ayurveda experience. I cannot say enough about Dr. Abhija, Vidya and Bhavya my treatment therapists and Sudheer the yoga guru. They were also simply incredible.
It's obvious that Leela is updating things at the hotel at a steady pace and I am sure things will be even more amazing on my next visit. But truly, the magic of this hotel is in the people. from Prameesh who corresponded with me about arranging my stay. To Reshma and the whole front desk team who were there with a smile every hour of the day. And a special thank you to Chef Priyush Mishra for taking excellent care with my food, answering all my questions about Indian foods and prices and showing me the hotel's garden where they are starting to grow their produce. His chefs and team at the Club cafe were also incredible to me, Arun the host, Arun the chef and everyone else.
In my opinion the value for money of the hotel and the Ayurveda program were fantastic and if this is what The Leela Ravit offered only three months in to their being a Leela property, I cannot wait to see how it all progresses.
I will be visiting again for sure. Leela, you made me feel like family. Thank you so much.
