First the positive: a great pool, the friendliness of the staff in service is impressive.
Unfortunately, there is a lack of information everywhere, even on arrival. You always have to ask e.g. after a mosquito net, is urgently needed, since there are these mosquitoes everywhere, is a plague.
Doctors know only Ayurveda therapies, tablets, teas, tinctures, massages. I didn't have an examination or diagnosis at the beginning or end, neither pulse nor dosha typing.
The resort is a bit old, it could do with a face lifting anywhere, especially in the bathroom, the shower, just rain shower, is calcified.
On Christmas we were only 4 guests, on New Year's Eve 11, in 51 rooms, that allows some conclusions.
I, and other guests, were disappointed, I will not visit this resort again.
The resort is privately owned, and belongs to a tea factory and an Ayurvedic medicine factory.
We highly appreciated the Ayuverda stay with Siddhalepa. World-class therapists and Ayuverda doctors, excellent and very healthy Ayuverda food at the beachfront restaurant, nice pool. Rooms are all very clean, prepared with care and all renovated. We stayed at the third floor suite with very nice balcony with view on monkeys and birds. We highly recommend this resort. You will have true Sri Lankan hospitality at its best.
Beach Front Resort with complete tranquility. Beautiful stretch of beach and no disturbance at all. I spent there 14 nights. Each day I wake up for the birds calling. The day started with yoga and there is a lovely hut. The Yoga Pavilion is located just by yhd beach, we did Yoga while listening to the waves of the Ocean. There's Yoga session in the afternoon, too. Doctors and Therapists are sll professional, trained and do good in delivering the services. I had extra treatments slso for a little extra sum. They helped you with individual Yoga sessions, for a extra charge. It is so lovely and had fun doing cooking classes with Chef. I cooked by myself with the help of instructions given by the chef.
Thank you so much for all the lovely people who work there!
We have been to SAHR many times and feel at home every time.
Whether doctors, treatments, room and service, kitchen, restaurant and service, pool, garden,....- you are cared for lovingly and in the best way. Of particular note is Mr. Surendra (reception) who is available to help with any problem. A huge THANK YOU to the entire team of SAHR in Wadduwa!!!
Pure relaxation and health ?
Yes I am now the third time with Siddhalepa (15 years ago for the first time).
A great oasis to relax. The aversions are constant at Ayurveda's top level. Very authentic.
I was at the end of the rainy season. Even if it rains a little every day....it doesn't matter.
You don't have to leave the resort, but man can also go to the beautiful city of Galle on a day trip. Daily dreamlike sunsets.
The service and management is super friendly and helpful.
You also have to understand the culture of communication to realize that everything here is very gracious.
Many thanks to the Siddhalepa team and look forward to seeing you again next year.
This was my first trip to Siddhalepa to experience their Ayurveda treatment. Although the trip was short but I was able to experience the various Ayurveda treatments through the recommendations of the doctor at the resort. I enjoyed the daily Ayurveda treatments thoroughly which was administered by the skilful therapist.
Food choices were quite limited and tended to be the same for breakfast, lunch and dinner with the occasionally fish and chicken dishes.
Everyone at the resort were friendly and helpful from the front desk right to the service staff at the restaurant. It would be useful to bring your own slippers and toiletries such as toothbrush and tooth paste as such items were not provided in the room.
Overall, an enjoyable trip and stay at Siddhalepa Resort where I would consider coming back again especially for their Ayurveda treatments.
The complex, which is a little outdated, impresses with its direct beach location and offers the ideal environment for those who want to enjoy high-quality Ayurveda treatments. I would particularly like to highlight the friendly staff, the excellent cuisine, the expert doctors and my therapist Ishanka, whose magic hands were a real boon.
