Vedasudha Ayurvedic Hospital / 35 Nights Panchakarma Program
Premium Ayurveda Hospital
India / Kerala / Kumarakom
The Vedasudha Ayurvedic Hospital was opened in 2009 and is located in a small, beautifully situated village called Vayala in Kottayam district, which is almost in the middle of the state of Kerala. It is about 80 kilometers from Cochin International Airport (2 hours drive) and 25 kilometers from Kottayam railway station. It is only 3 km away from the Main Central Road and very easy to reach.
The Vedasudha medical center is more than 290 years old and was originally built without any iron nails or other metallic fixtures. The grounds of Vedasudha are special in the sense that regular Vedic ceremonies were performed there for more than 1300 years.
We are a group of dedicated Ayurvedic doctors and therapists, Ayurvedic pharmacists and cooks, who are deeply convinced of the Vedic wisdom. We believe that love, along with herbs and treatments, is the most effective medicine for healing. Our employees have a profound education in traditional Vedic knowledge as well as in academic studies or classical professional training. This ensures that each patient receives the best treatments adapted to their individual situation.
We not only practice Ayurveda, but we also try to live up to the Ayurvedic principles. Our deepest thanks go to our masters and teachers, whose blessings and advice have made it possible for us to realize this project.
Our treatments are designed not only to heal your body, but also to reduce stress, alleviate emotions and help you to achieve a more joyful and healthy lifestyle by balancing body, mind and spirit.
The methods used in our treatments were not invented by us. Rather, with the help of our masters, we carefully rearrange them for the benefit of the individual and society as a whole. We try to offer the best of our gained knowledge, because the learning process in Ayurveda is defined as infinite.
The guest houses and the treatment buildings are built separately to ensure a maximum of privacy. The architecture of the buildings and the layout of the premises are strictly based on Vastu, the Vedic architectural science for healthy living. We have neither air conditioning nor television in our rooms.
We have our own water sources on our land, and most of the electricity is supplied by our own solar panels. Only ayurvedic, vegetarian, sattvic food is cooked and served in our kitchen team. Sattvic food helps to maintain clarity of mind. We offer our guests three warm meals per day. Special meals are prepared for people with serious diseases. In addition to vegetables from our own garden, we mostly buy organically grown vegetables from local farmers.
If you come to us for a stay, we arrange a pick-up service with our own vehicles and drivers.
