Dr M.S. Baiju is a distinguished Ayurvedic physician from Cochin, Kerala, hailing from a renowned lineage of traditional Ayurveda Vaidyas. His clinical journey began under the tutelage of his grandfather, the eminent Ayurveda Vaidya, Dr K.S.K. Sasthri. A graduate of the Government Ayurveda College, Trivandrum—India’s first Ayurveda college—Dr Baiju holds a BAMS degree and brings with him an illustrious career spanning 34 years of clinical experience. He specialises in managing Lifestyle disorders, Psoriasis, Arthritis, and is highly proficient in administering classical Panchakarma therapies. Dr Baiju has held key positions at esteemed institutions such as Kerala Pharmacy Group, Nagarjuna Ayurvedic Group, and Swagath Holiday Resorts, Kovalam. His international experience includes serving as Chief Physician at the Ayurveda Treatment Centre in See Hotel Baeren Brienz, Switzerland. He has also contributed to academia as a Provisional Tutor at Government Ayurveda College, Trivandrum, and served as a Provisional Medical Officer in the ISM Department, Government of Kerala. Currently, Dr Baiju is the Chief Physician at Ananda Lakshmi Ayurveda Retreat, Chowara, Trivandrum. I would like to thank the Ananda Laskhmi Centre for this stay. I spent 15 days there on an Ayurvedic cure. Everyone at the centre did their bit to make it an incredible stay: housekeepers, receptionists, manager, gardeners, cooks, waiters, yoga teacher. The masseuses. Thank you to all of you for your gentleness, your kindness, your smiles. The centre is magnificent and a haven of peace. I ate very well. One of the best meals of my life. Thank you to the masseuses for taking such good care of me, especially Philomena for her maternal touch. Thank you to the two lovely waitresses. Thank you to the yoga teachers who always had beautiful life lessons to share. Thank you for your gifts. For making us beautiful in saree. I recommend that you go there. You will be pampered.
