Athreya Ayurvedic Centre offers a specialized postnatal care program thoughtfully designed to support the health and recovery of both mothers and newborns. The program begins with uterine cleansing medications administered during the initial three to five days following delivery. After this phase, customized medicines are prescribed for the following two to three weeks, taking into account factors such as the mother’s physical condition, local climate, and geographical context.

This comprehensive care regimen combines the wisdom of Ayurveda with physiotherapy and yoga to help restore the mother's organs, including the uterus, to their pre-pregnancy state—typically within one and a half months post-delivery. Rejuvenation therapies such as Ayurvedic herbal medications, postpartum oil massages, specialized kizhi (herbal poultice treatments), and medicated water baths are incorporated to promote healing, vitality, and overall well-being during this crucial recovery period.
